I'm a bit confused here. On the i-130, it would ask me to write the family name in CAPS, but on the other forms, it never mentions writing family name in CAPS. The confusing part is that I see so many sample forms with the family name in CAPS. Should I write my family name in CAPS throughout each form or will a normally written out name, with the first letter in CAPS suffice?

Thanks, the PDF version doesn't change a normal written name into caps so I guess it should stay like that.

Another problem popped up, I'm sure it won't be the last. I can't write down the APT number on the form I-864. The box to the right of APT, w/ a check box to the left of it, is white out. PDF won't let me write the APT number to it.

I just tried with the online version, and you are right!

Try it that way :

Download it on your desktop and fill the blank that way, It will work for some reason, don't fill it out on your browser by just clicking on the USCIS form

do you know what I mean ?

If you fill it out on the computer you can type it normally as how you would write it. If I remember correctly you are only asked to write it in caps if your printing it (I.e. Writing by hand)
