LOL LebaneseMama - Let's go Dollface we can't be the only ones!! Don't worry about the scale issue - it is really scary when you start losing weight, then the doctor's freak out and man it's just scary. Youssef insisted I ate like 6 meals a day when I started losing weight instead of gaining it. Just think you'll drop off a bunch of weight when the baby is born and if you're breastfeeding you lose weight even faster. It usually takes at least 6 - 8 weeks after the baby is born for your "baby tummy" to start going away. I hate those damn celebrities who have babies and come out looking like before they had them it is so unrealistic!!

Cold, cold, cold here today! rahma I need to get a job where you work - all this vacation and lunches mmmmm! We are seriously considering move to the cities after Youssef gets back from Morocco so if you hear of any good job openings let me know!

I wish just a little bit of cold would head our way! It's been ridiculous this winter. We've had mostly 70 degree weather for weeks now. Most everyone I know has been sick, and I think it's due to the weird weather. Someone told me it's because it hasn't been cold enough to make some of the viruses die. I don't know how medically sound that theory is, but it makes you wonder.

We had to work yesterday, so no 3 day weekend for me! Rahma, I want to come work at your law office! Ours is very small, and we only get 2 weeks vacation a year, period. I've been here 5 years now, and I have the same amount of vacation I had when I started. I've seriously got to start looking for a new job!

I'm going to the gym tonight, then I'm going to cook something really quick, and watch American Idol with my husband. Fun night, I hope!!!

Hope everyone is having a good day!

Just wondering about the place in Louisiana where the bragging that "it's 70 today" was making me laugh . . . going to check the weather over there.

Oops!!! well, it's not in the 70s anymore . . . but no freezing rain it seems . . . just 70% chance of precipitation in Baton Rouge with temp hovering around 40/30. Hi, Noura!!

Yup! woke up to 38 degree weather today (brrrrrrrrr)... at work now but having a slow day - should get some other work done, but I think I might just go home and have lunch w/ my sweetie. Got a call from a friend of mine opening a new massage place and they want me to come to work over there - could be enticing, but I *really* like working by myself! It's just across the street from my office now. One of her "selling points" is that they are going to have childcare, so if I end up pregnant, I can still work w/ the baby right there on site... hmmmm.... dunno.

High today is 47!

I'm planning on going in to get my Hepatitis vaccinations in a couple of hours. I'm as nervous as a cat in a room full of rocking chairs!!! I hate having any kind of medication in me and I always worry about having some horrid side effect.

I made dua and insha'Allah it will be fine but I always worry anyways.

:)

Allah tries his chosen people through many hardships, but those who persevere through adversity, surrendering themselves before the will of Allah, shall be blessed with a superb reward.

-The Prophet Muhammad (SAW), as reported by Anas bin Malik

A time will come when the sky is torn apart; when the stars scatter, and the ocean drains away; and when the graves are tossed about, and laid open. At that time every man will be told what he has done, and what he has failed to do; and every woman will be told what she has done, and what she has failed to do.

-Qur'an, Al-Infitar, Surah 82:1-5

All work and no play makes Limah a dull Gal!!!!!!!!!

Will be starting my work from home in a couple of weeks, something else to do to keep busy!!! Right now I am at my desk reading Stephen Kings "Dreamcatcher". I just finished "The Stand" last week.

Well, I'll be........... One of my students just left the school. She was supposed to be here at 1pm for lecture. She has a contusion on her head... but she was telling me... crying.... that she can't finish the program. She was feeling self conscious about her skill in phlebotomy. Keep in mind she hasn't failed 1 test in the duration of this course! NOT ONE!!! I told her that I am not trying to hear it and I will see her thursday for her exam and she can go home after or maybe take it next week, but quittin is not an option. I gave her my cell #, which is a no-no for students typically. But this aint a typical case. I feel like her mother has taken to me as I have to her. She has come into my office closed the door and prayed with me and for my husband and I so many times I can not count! I found out from her daughter that she is an evangelist at her church. I am muslim, and to me it does not matter how you serve God or how you acknowledge Him, as long as you do.

She thanked me for pushing her daughter, as her daughter has been to so many "technical" schools and not finished. This is the closest she has ever come to success in a career. She hugged me and told me that she loves me, like she always does. I have been telling her that I am trying to get back to Morocco to see my husband and was extremely distraught about the fact that I wasn't able to make it over the xmas/new year break.

She hugged me again, and she was looking me in my eyes, (and for me, I cant look you square in the eye when I am talking to you, never could as far back as I can remember), She took my hand, held it for a minute, and walked out the door. I was just standing there near tears, as I always am when I have an encounter with her. I am coming back to my desk to finish this message, I though it would have been short and simple..... and there are papers falling out of my hand. It's $300. Now the phone rings and its her on the line saying, "This is for your trip to see your husband and I have something for you next week. Will you be here next week?"

Of course I will be here next week but not because she "has something for me", but this is where I work. So, I guess I kinda gotta be here, you know?

She reminds me of my mother in a lot of ways. On the 25th of this month it will be 13 years since my mother passed away. The winters are always excruciating for my brothers and sisters and I. Never does it fail! NEVER EVER!!! I have enough to deal with as it is and my mother has been on my mind and in my dreams lately, more than any other time of the year.

I was talking to my husband and he had to leave early for work. I wanted to cry about that  , but I sucked it up. And now my spiritual mother dunn laid this bomb on me, the tears I called myself holdin back......... :crying::crying:

Have a happy and blessed Tuesday, yall!

Limah (L)(F)

Pray with me Forrest! Dear God, make me a bird so I can fly far. Far, far away from here..... Dear God, make me a bird so I can fly far. Far, far away from here!

howzabout some fish w/ rice and a salad? or steamed broccoli instead of salad? or chicken breast instead of fish?

oh!!! a yummy/easy thing to make - place chicken breasts in a casserole dish w/ some cream of mushroom soup & sour cream (mix soup & sour cream, spread over chix) and bake at abt 350 for abt 1 hr.... serve it w/ some rice or pasta and a veggie!

It's awefully cold here too today. There was a train derailment in the next county which ended up spilling burning propane everywhere. Needless to say the highway close to home is closed which means it will take us forever to get home. I'm just happy I'll have company in the car with me. The warm weather spoiled me. IT'S TOO DARN COLD!

Dinner.... hmm. Planned on meatloaf and mashed potatoes (Moh loves it) but if we're too late it may be pizza night.
