Hi all,

Since I found out there's a place where I can check the status of our son's case, I have been going to that website several times a day to see if they've issued his visa. I guess I like torturing myself. Anyway, until today, it would say that the case is still in AP and that the last update was on May 30. Today, it says that the case was updated June 10 (yesterday), but it is still in AP. What does that mean? How can there be an update when the status of the case has not changed? Has anyone dealt with this before?

That means that his case was handled by someone. That is good. It means something was done. The length of time in AP will depend on what the reason for the AP is. Keep watching..

Thank you for replying. We did not include our original marriage certificate which, from my understanding, is not required for IR2 visa. They received it on 05/30. I guess I'll just keep checking. Thanks again.

I am also experiencing something similar.

I am the applicant in the petition filed by my mother. Category F1

I was interviewed on 16-may-2014. Interview went well.

But the ceac statuses are confusing...

After interview it says Administrative Processing with update date of 16-may-2014.

Then on 30-may-2014 it changed to READY, since then it's on same status. But the update date is changed almost everyday after 4:30 PM IST.

There is no direct way to contact US embassy new Delhi, I emailed my query at support@utraveldocs.com and they replied that my case is pending under 221(g) administrative processing. But the status shows ready which is almost updated everyday after 4:30 PM IST.

Here is my statues updates so far...

16-may-2014 AP

17-may-2014 AP

30-may-2014 READY

2-jun-2014 READY

4-jun-2014 READY

6-jun-2014 READY

9-jun-2014 READY

10-jun-2014 READY

12-jun-2014 READY

13-jun-2014 READY

It's a mother son relationship, I don't know what is verified.

I read somewhere that there is a DOS number on which we can call to get updates. If anyone knows DOS number for Indian applicants please post it here.

I appreciate advise, suggestions and opinions on my case.

Thanks
