Good luck in your journey then. It sounds like you're a shoe in to get this completed on your own. As to a lawyer never getting a rejection, people qualify or they don't. You can muck up a first application and get an RFE which allows you to correct those mistakes. Of course if you screw up your RFE response, then the denial will probably come. A denial isn't necessarily a lawyer's fault, it could just be the petitioner is not qualified. It would be the lawyers fault if they didn't insure collecting the required information and fill out the form correctly. This lawyer might have gotten you through it, but she was certainly going the long way about it, and had totally incorrect information on what a qualified relationship is.
