  1. 1. Is rape wrong?

    • Yes, usually. Except when the man doing the raping is the strongest and most intelligent man on earth. Then he's doing our species a favor.

    • Yes, always. The strongest and most intelligent man on earth probably has no problem getting consensual sex.

It is true. Those of us, whose crisis are mere challenges learn and grow to become better people. However, how about those who will perish from their crisis, such as children in Africa, ridden with disease and stalked by famine, or those who are victims of wars, armed or otherwise, sponsored by religion and politics?

I do have trouble reconciling the notion of a perfect, ever loving and all merciful creator with the obvious flaws and mistakes we all see in the alleged creation. If anything, looking around the world, only proves that the creator is messy and sloppy in its creation. It only show evidence to the non existence of a creator.

Life on earth is just a test. If you pass by living properly, you get the reward, eternal life in paradise. The innocents killed in wars, etc are already there.

That mocks their suffering and doesn't make it less obscene. I find it disgusting that some should find solace in that mountain of bs.

So a man could rape a woman, but the rapist could be the woman because the text does not specify whether the penetrator or the penetratee is the rapist? What?

If penetration occurs and consent was not given then the one who is did not give consent is being raped making the other person the rapist.

This would make it difficult for a man to be a victim of sexual assault involving traditional penetration of a woman but not impossible... That seems a pretty fair representation of reality.

So a man could rape a woman (####### in ####### mode) and then claim he did not consent and in actuality her ####### landed on his #######? Then you have two people who both claim to have not consented. Hey, we might end up with America's first rape case where there were two rapists and two victims.

Yes that could happen.. I remember there was a law-and-order about the wordage of this law.. A male stripper was chained to a pipe and three drunk women got on top of him and worked him up and went to town. The whole crux of the case was if a man gets into an aroused state does that in itself de-facto consent (that he was excited and into it). They really had to be creative to have a set of circumstances where it would apply.

Yeah, it sounds like a joke until you think about it. If a man and a woman get very drunk (too drunk to consent) and have sex, present law says that the man raped the woman. But unless the woman stuck something up the man's ####### (I'm sure it happens but it isn't exactly par for the course), she didn't rape him.

As far as those here trying to argue that the quoted text can be construed to mean that if penetration occurs, the rape victim is the one who didn't consent, that simply isn't how the law is applied. According to present law, the rape victim is the one who was penetrated, if that person did not consent.

I know I will be beat down for this but,

I think when you drink a lot, and go home with a man and get in his bed, and then wake up the next day and figure out you had sex then cry rape. well that's BS. If you are sober enough to walk in, and get in the bed.

Now if he drugged you, or used force that's different.

If she gets wet, does that in itself imply consent?

The degree of creativity is a false argument. Even if only one in a million cases of forced sex have a male victim (and it's certainly more than that), that doesn't provide a good justification for ignoring those victims. Making the law gender neutral wouldn't make it any more difficult to punish men who rape women.

No, just like having a ####### isn't a sign of consent either. Erections are physiological reactions. You can get one against your will.

At age 52 I wish.... LOL

But I do agree. I still get them sometimes when dead asleep
