I already received my green card but im wondering why it indicate that im a IR1 visa category and it my card is has a 10 years validity.

My entry here in the US is under CR1 category and on my knowledge I understand that my status is conditional residence which means that I suppose to received my green card with 2 yrs validity and 90 days before the expiry of my card I need to apply for removal of my conditional status

And when I met all tneir requirements thats the time they will give me a green card with 10yrs validity

Thats also what the immigration officer at the airport explain to me.

Now im a bit worried

YEs im happy because I got my green card

But it conflicts my visa entry on my passport

Is my case possible

What should I do

I dont wanna have a problem in the future

You must return the card and get the correct card. You have a 2-year card, even though your card says 10. You must ROC in 2 years, but if your card says 10 years then they might reject the package, and then you would be late in filing ROC, and have your LPR cancelled, and lots of other problems.

Fill out form I-90, and send back the card. Do not pay, check off the box for USCIS error. In the meantime, you are still LPR and you can get a stamp in your passport as proof. Good luck.

AOS for my husband
