Never recieved a case number for our second I130

Couldn´t find anything like this in this forum yet, so i´m hoping somebody has a clue about my problem.

Last year my husband filed two seperate petitions (I130) for my son and me. After we mailed it off, everything was processing normal, from what i thought it did, but i was a complete rookie in all the visa procedures ;)

So we received an NOA1 (ONLY via e-mail, NO hardcopy!) and got our case no, waited 6 months until just a few days ago our case was approved. Yay. :dance:

But while i was reading through this forum, i found out on accident, that usually if there were two petitions filed, there should be two casenumbers. Well, not for us!!! We NEVER received ANY e-mailed or mailed kind of information on that second case. The only thing we have is the fact, that they cashed both checks but we don´t know if there was probably an RFE, nor if for this case our change of adress was recognized and so on!

So i called the customer service, but since i´m not the petitioner, they wouldn´t give me any specific information on our case, so my husband has to call again today, to hopefully find something out about what´s going on.

So for anybody who his new in this process: If you filed two or more petitions, you usually should receive more casenumbers! :yes:

But at least they got the money ;)

07/23/2014 - case# assigned
07/30/2014 - received IIN #
07/30/2014 - submitted DS-261 / paid AOS Fee
08/01/2014 - AOS Fee showed "Paid"
09/11/2014 - IV Bill invoiced and paid
09/13/2014 - IV Bill showed "Paid"
09/17/2014 - submitted DS-260
09/29/2014 - mailed off AOS & IV Packet
10/01/2014 - NVC received documents (e-mail 60 days review)
10/02/2014 - Scan date
12/02/2014 - received checklist for AOS
12/11/2014 - new scan date for corrected AOS
02/05/2015 - Case complete as for my case (son´s case still shows paid)
02/06/2015 - 2nd checklist email for both cases (i can take my correction to the interview, for son another 60 days of wait :clock: :cry: )
02/18/2015 - new Scan date
03/26/2015 - Case complete for my son´s case too, yay, the uncertainty is over
04/01/2015 - received Case Complete email for both
05/06/2015 - Medical
05/26/2015 - Interview / APPROVED!!!
05/26/2015 - CEAC already shows "ISSUED" in the afternoon
05/30/2015 - Visa in hands
08/12/2015 - POE Houston, TX

Edit: Finally found out with the USCIS, that everything is going the right way and that we actually have two receipt numbers, we just never recieved notification about the 2nd one! :rolleyes:

All is good! :)
