Bachelor degree valid within the US to work ?

Hi,

I'm concerned about my situation once I finally move to the US. I finished University a year ago and I've heard that I have to do some process with my bachelor, diplomas, etc ..degrees in general to apply to any job, can anybody advice me about this ?

You heard (mostly) wrong. Your bachelor is most likely fine, though it depends on the country. What country?

Try wes.org to translate the degree if you have to. With a bachelor or masters degree you should be fine. I applied and got a job that needed a masters degree.They accepted my dutch degree without any problems.

Depends on what country you earned your degree in. Also, in part, depends on the types of jobs you are applying for.

My firm hires people with advanced degrees - degrees from many regions need to be assessed for equivalency to US degrees by an outside agency retained by our firm. Degrees in nursing, medicine and pharmacy need the equivalency determination for state licensure.

For entry-level type jobs which require BA/BS, we don't require this step unless there are particular requirements for a professional licensure necessary for the job function.

The hiring firm should cover the cost of the equivalency if it is required.

Country Peru, It's and I'm a Software Engineer with IT certifications. My Job is A SAP Consultant.... Then probably would be good just with a Certified Translated degree?

Got a job in IT as well. The will do a background check so make sure you have some recommendations. But my IT certifications where accepted without to translate. MCSA Cisco etc.

What was your degree in? I think employers are generally more interested in your skills than where you got them. Just focus on having a good, concise resume without spelling or grammar errors and do a great job on your interview.
