Hi guys need help with my case

I am waiting on my immigrant visa f4 (family visa) . 3 months have passed and the family is still on administrative processing. The counselor officer said that it will take 3 months . i know they check for security purposes but me and my family already have visiting visa stamped on my passport so i was wondering why would it take so long? If any body in the same category as f4 can tell me the wait time or how long they waited and how long it is takes for f4 to be issued ?

I pray that every body going through adm processing get issued visas soon IA

AP can go on for months or years. What the consul officer gave you is just an estimated timeline.

Hi,

No one can tell you how long your AP will last. It can last days or years. The officer can only give you an estimate of how long AP will take; it's not a guarantee that it will be done in 3 months.

Your visiting visa is not put under the same scrutiny as an immigration visa. A visiting visa does not lead to US citizenship. An immigration visa can lead to US citizenship. So, a move intensive background check is required. Much more extensive than vetting for a visitor visa.

Hi,

Just wanted to share my own experience with you guys. My parent's F4 visas have been put on to the Administrative processing December 2013 in ISLAMABAD EMBASSY, since then there were multiple updates on the CEAC website but there was no real progress, we have been waiting since then. Today is 06/27/2014, its been very frustrating, and we don't know what to do. Does any one have a better suggestion except for telling me that nothing could be done. Really appreciate your responses. Thanks
