Australian police cert + address question

Hello!

My fiance is from Ireland, but spent a few years living in Australia and New Zealand in the past. Does anyone know if he will need fingerprints for his police certificates from these countries? Especially Australia. I've seen conflicting information about this.

Also, if he is unable to recall the addresses for every place he has lived in the past (Ireland + Australia & NZ), is this going to be a big problem?

Thank you for your help!

It's whatever the consulate in Ireland requires. Australians interviewing in Australia need the fingerprints certificate, but that doesn't mean he will need the fingerprints check. My guess is that they won't require a fingerprints check, but best to check with the consulate he will be interviewing at.

He will need to get the police check from the Australian Federal Police.

Hi there,

I emailed the U.S.consulate in Sydney yesterday and they said a fingerprint check is not necessary.
