Latest NBI

I got my NBI today... I am #831. As usual NBI here in Cebu are very slow processing. They only have one cashier and 3 Windows for Biometrics and Picture. I went there 7am, I arrived home 5pm. It sucks! Actually I already have my NBI but it was taken last October 2013. So I think I need to get latest one for Interview. Anywies my real concern/question is should I really need to change my REMARKS to No pending case from No record on file? I am really worried.. Please see my attachments about REMARKS!

Hi Jhammin. That is perfectly fine. What USEM wants is either "No record on file" or "No derogatory record".

As per USEM instructions: An official letter of explanation from the NBI is required for any notation of “No criminal record” or "No pending case”. Since you have neither, you're good to go!

Thank you Hank_. I apologized sweet cakes I did not know the dates. My fiancé received it and he does not want to tell me when. I have now my MNL case # I have the USCIS receipt. My problem is my fiancé called me and order me to call the NVC to check if they received my case. I dont understand him really. What does it mean? I thought everything is fix and all I have to do is to get my appointment and my medical.

Nope, don't need the NVC letter at the interview.

Thank you. I already read your latest update on your site Hank_ thank you so much for that! My fiancé is trippin me and asked me random questions and trying to give me hard time. Hes just being funny! He cannot missed up with me what to do next step. By the help of Hank_ , sweet cakes, VJ members and this website http://uscis.travel.state.gov.com/ tells me everything. Oh well... My fiancé is little bit crazy. lol. Not to mentioned he received the NOA's without telling me. sigh! But I really do love him.. and I cannot wait to see/hug him soon. How to get the nbi letter of explanation??

From what I have read you will need to go to the interview and they will (sadly) issue the 221g requesting the explanation letter from NBI. I have not read of anyone going to NBI and getting this from them without the embassy requesting it.

NBI will not issue the letter until they receive a request from USEM (I know this from personal experience; it cost us two trips to Manila). You will get a 221(g) after your interview. Just follow the instructions and you will be fine unless you have something that will prevent you from passing the interview that is revealed in the NBI response. I don't think you are in that classification, so no worries.
