Hi everyone,

My parents have got an interview in Abu Dhabi (U.A.E.) and they're going to have to schedule their medical exam the day before the interview. I'm really concerned that they won't have the test results that early. Can anyone please tell me how long does it take to get the medical test results back and how long prior to their interview they should schedule their medical?

I'd appreciate it if anyone could tell me where do you find the US government approved doctors (panel physician) to schedule your appointments with? Is there any list for that?

Thanks.

The consulate usually sends a list of approved doctors to the beneficiary(ies.) Have your parents received anything from the consulate yet on what to bring to the interview ? It should be among those documents. If they didn't get anything yet, and your interview is coming very soon, then call the consulate immediately.

Someone else who has processed through Abu Dhabi recently may have the most recent list of physicians and be able to share with you, as well as give you other tips. You could do a member search and PM them.

My opinion is that perhaps getting the medical on the day before the interview is maybe cutting it a little close. The results will be sent directly to the consulate, but I'm not sure what the turnaround time is in Abu Dhabi. Isn't there a way they could get the medical done several days before ?

Best of luck you all on the Big Day !

While not Abu Dabai, I have heard several consulates saying 1-2 weeks in advance at the minimum to allow time for the results to be transferred to the consulate. They take blood and that takes a few days to analyze.

Thank you all for the great information. I still haven't received the written notice. I learned through NVC operators that an interview has been scheduled for my parents. So that's how I'll get the list of the panel physicians...

Thanks again, Paris
