Oh NYC_girl, sorry to hear what your husband got through!!!...it seems of what you explained that some decisions depended upon political interests and maybe political language...that doesn't help....But now, is another time!!!...Just curious, how does your husband feel about this 2nd immigration experience?...

knowledge! It's OK. We did it together. :) How does he feel? Hmmm ... He trusts in correctness of all services and in correctness of their actions. But it is not pleasant to me. I don't believe the majority of them. They are mistaken and not competent sometimes. Sorry, but I have unpleasant experience of dialogue with such structures of authority. When the officer said to my husband "Wait till march" he is going to do it. But if I were him I would call to Customer Service every week. May be I have no patience?

Hi All,

I with all of you! I don't understand the concept of all of this. I'm new to this website VJ and I'm still trying to learn how to insert, add, etc. This is the least of my concern. I've been reading many of the posting and topics relating to my case (I also only filed for the I130 since I was told by USCIS that it was taking about the same amount of time to process as the I130) and I'm confused!! Many are approved within 2-3 months. It has been approximately 50 days since I received my first notice and I have not seen anything else since.

What do you all mean when you state its been "touch"? As I mentioned, I'm new to all of this and I'm trying to get myself educated.

Thanks and Good Luck to all!

Yes i understand, i'm not originally from Can. and the opression in some countries have been quite damaging in us believing. Things are difficult now but will be fixed, you'll be there. I began to read about the creation of the US, and the basic ground is freedom and intelligence...even if there are much difficulties...they'll be fixed...I have been advised to wait and not call or send anything, because they have tons of papers and it might get lost. The agents who answer the phone, I have read from serious source are not knowing anything about the proceedure...I know, it's physically frustrating... I still believe one route is the best, seeing all the confusions with the other redoundances...I keep fingers crossed for us to be approved soon!!!!!

Hi Radu or Mari, nice to meet you and welcome! 1st thing, careful with panicking lol...before anything...in case the process might be delayed...I don't understand all you said, so let's try by what i have understood: it's that you have applied for the Cr-1, I-130 and not for the K-3 (same I-130, then I-129f)...Some choosed to take 1 route (cr-1) or both (with the K-3). The latest news is that at the 2nd phase where the initial application goes for those who applied for both, USCIS (i think) retain the I-130 to let people continue with the K-3.

Cr-1 is an immigrant petition; K-3 is a spouse petition and non-immigrant, that allows to get in US, from where they AOS (adustment of status, i.e. immigrant status) which is the second part if you want of the Cr-1 (which alone is done only from outside the US). You can consult the sources, the Guides in here by the names of the petitions, then the Timelines where you can search for your type of application of how much time it took for others in similar situations.

The sources documents explain a lot why the waiting, etc...usually is because either they are loeaded with work, or because there are security checks that they wait for to be approved. The touches (you can in Search put "touch" and read all postings related to this topic) mean usually they have looked at our petition and so on...we don't know yet what is they are looking at...but this is all we know...

We, the girls in here wait now for a few months...we wanted to call or sent some infos (like in my case), we have told that we should wait around 6 months before anything...Some are getting approve fast or not...We don't know either why...or have some theories, the past divorces, etc...they have to check more...My theory is that people who are younger/ or not but have not yet much baggage of life might be approved faster...

Hope it helps a little bit...and/or if i'm not correct about your type of petition, please feel free to ask...

So, you are in the boat now...Congratulations!...be patient because it's easy to get nuts with the confusions lol...with time it will be more clear...
