Timeline

I have finally been able to inscribe our Timeline, and at the bottom VJ indicates that if the 7th of Dec is passed by more than 10 days, to consider call the USCIS...also it says or per USCIS processing times...which is on their site 12th of march...

Questions

1. on which basis VJ calculates 7 déc...considering USCIS timeline...there is such a contrast in the respective timelines...

2. I have tried to know what's going on in VT...stating their 12 of march timeline that is there for months...in avail...so, i try again...in the other thread we discoverd 3 of us have been touched the same day...i don't know if it's a pattern, as i think VJ seems inclined to understand...so...if anyone, again, has any theories...they'll be appreciated...

3. finally...what to say to USCIS other than: any news about our petition?..and should we email them or call them...i believe they have given us the 1-800 number...

Thanks!

Eventhough you are 1 month ahead of me i feel like i am in the same boat with you. I have no touches and when i see people are getting approved from mid november i get upset. I do not know what to do also.

I was thinking did you by any chance applied for K-3 as well? Looks like people who applied for K-3 are getting their 130's approved faster. In my case i never applied for K-3. I am just waiting for 130 right now.

Good morning Dennis!...you seem in the same boat as us..it's good to know...and welcome !!!there are now Niagara Falls, NYC-girl and Heina...give and take 2-3 weeks of the date of application...(i have opened another thread in this forum related to Vermont)...

I'll look more into the K-3 and Ir-1 theory...We did not apply for K-3...as initially intended, seeing that or then that some were approved almost in the same time...Just yesterday i saw in Misa's timeline that she had been approved her K-3 and Ir-1 the same day...for example

Since the 3 girls, me included got the NOa1 the same day...i am more attentive about those dates and even the touches...Somewhere i have the feeling they are classifiying us under some criterias...under the type of visa petition classification...it's interesting but the waiting time is pretty too much now...and, I find a bit contradictory with the publicity about families reunions they make.(the changes made to be more customer inclined)....i don't know if it's so necessary to put them in such hard situations...this is what begins to preoccupy me...and don't know it in the long run it will be acceptable to me...

Hi, friends! I can't more to wait. I'm upset. Last Fryday my husband called to Customer Servise. The operator told that decision concerning ours cases will be made till March. If not he will call to governor or senators. The most funny thing he told that "Our site containes all comprehensive information. Visit our web-site" Ha-ha-ha. What a nice joke!

According to this chart http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...2024&st=225 it is our turn now.

Nice to see you NYC_girl, courageous husband..!!!.and thanks for sharing...finally someone was active...Question: did they say why march, is it because their workload or just the case...are they in a some sort of checking our pubic hair...(lol...this is how I feel with their intrustions...) at least you have a date...Since i opened the 2 threads i have searched a lot the timelines of the cr-1's...all over the place...usually all is done in a time frame of 7 to 9 months,if not 11 months...rarelly 1year.. so we are still in the timeline..but march is a bit far...

I have also done from AILA, where they keep all the reports of Timelines of the USCIS (Vermont)...a comparative analyze with the other visas K-1 and K-3...briefly, only fastest moment: *30th june - cr-1 24 décembre 2005 and

* 11 July - cr-1 05 february 2006. A jump of 1 month and a half...almost same time as we are this year...Then, since 17 nov 2006 they are blocked on the famous 12 of march...

Also somtimes they go backwards with the K-1...of 1 month and a half also..then they take 2 months to arrive at the same month they got backwards...interesting....I don't know what it means...

Hi, knowledge! Nothing courageous. My husband did it after my 10000000 reminder. Operator said that the ordinary process lasts about 8-9 months, so that is why March (I think). K-visas are so fast because they are forwarded to embassy without NVC process. Through this process they pass at the time of adjustment of status in USA, which can be last about 2-3 years.

Just my thoughts on the March thing...I think I read somewhere that if you go 6 months without so much as a touch or anything, you can do a Congressional inquiry. I know our 6 month mark will fall in March, so that's what I was planning to do.

Don't let the sunshine spoil your rain...just stand up and COMPLAIN!

Thanks so much NYC_girl! it's valuable infos...as for the timeline of processing...it reminds me i have read that nowhere they specify a limit of time..(i.e. 6 months, etc)...i read on legal infos outside this site that that way, people can not complain to give them the time to make all the checkups they need...But, generally i think they try to fit into reasonable time frames...so hopefully all will be fine!...

Just my thoughts on the March thing...I think I read somewhere that if you go 6 months without so much as a touch or anything, you can do a Congressional inquiry. I know our 6 month mark will fall in March, so that's what I was planning to do.

I'm a bit unconfortable with the forcing ways......I prefere to call and inquire before anything...our 6 months timeframe will be in february...so let's hope the best!!!...and wish you good luck also!!!

I think petitioner's call their local congressman to ask them to expedite the process for an approval. Welcome at board, yes you are new born on here lol...and i think that Colombia goes fast, i remember a gent who's fiancé is from there who got approved really fast; his timeline is great...Dougcecy i think his screen name is...check on the I-130 approvals forum in this thread...

I think filing the I-129 pushes things ahead but I am not sure why. Maybe since there's less review with K3s? But that doesn't really make sense either since they are starting to approve both petitions the same day. It's as if when they have time to review the I-129, they pull the I-130 too for review. But it appears they are also retaining the approved I-130 when filed with a I-129 so something else has to be filed (along with $200) to release to NVC and we're not sure how long that takes for them to forward it.

There's another girl here, Stacey who just filed an I-129 to see if she would get approvals faster and be reunited sooner.

I feel for you all. I hope your approvals come soon so you can start the NVC stage.
