They are dead, because they were the intended targets. They were selected, apparently at random, and ambushed in a situation where they had no reason to expect a threat to their lives. Their guns mattered not one bit. Their uniform got them killed.

Joseph Wilcox, on the other hand, was not a target. When the officers were shot, he reacted and put himself in harm's way, because he thought his firearm would give him an edge. His situational awareness was flawed, thinking that Jerad Miller was the only armed assailant. So he exposed himself to danger and Amanda Miller, who, unaware to him, was also armed, shot him once, fatally, at close range. He placed himself in danger and paid the price. Without his gun, he would not have tried to intervened If he had not tried to intervene, he would still be alive today. His gun got him killed.

I just find it ironic that anyone living in a trailer park should not be allowed to own a gun because of this single shooting when most of the homicides are black on black murders . So to stop the killing in this country then perhaps we should forbid black folks to possess any firearm? Look at all the lives saved. ... My belief is the 2nd applies to everyone. ... Sort of how I expected it to go down honestly. obtaining a c&c doesn't exactly make you some sort of SWAT officer, or give you knowledge on how to defuse a situation with a madman and his wife, it's best to leave that up to those that have actually been trained. I feel for Joseph Wilcox's family, he made a decision on what he felt was the right, unfortunately it led to his death.

According to the FBI, 52.4% of murderers are black, not 80% as you claim, and 45.2% are white. I know this might come as a shock to you since you honestly believe black people are the scourge of the earth, but killers are killers. It doesn't matter what color they are.
