Hi VJ members. I'm wondering if someone could help with that - NVC received our case in April 7th for a Cr1 visa; in May 12th we received Aos fee and pay that in the same second and submited DS-261 also. At this point we have no news about the IV fee almost one month ago since our first fee. I think this will slow down our process.. Is this normal or is something going wrong?

Thanks for your time : )

I'm in the same process of waiting for the IV fee to appear in the portal as well. Anyways, it takes like 20 working days for the NVC to review your DS261 and your IV fee should appear in the portal 20working days from the time you transmitted ds261 or should i say online choice of address and agent. This coming friday, i should be able to get the iv fee invoiced in the portal based on the 20business days given to us, to wait for it.

Hi. Thank you for your response. We finally got an e-mail yesterday telling us that the IV bill was on the payment portal. However, my husband had to keep on trying to reach the NVC by phone for two weeks. Everytime he called, he got a busy phone tone. When he finally was able to talk with someone at NVC, they confirmed that we were indeed waiting too long for it and that is maybe why we got it now. If he hadn't call, we would most certainly be waiting for much longer.

Please look at the flowchart... The AOS has nothing to do with the IV except both are needed to complete a case.

IV invoice can take up to 30 business days from filing the DS-261 however, you are certainly past that time it's best to call, and ask for a supervisor review of why you haven't received it yet.

Glad to know yours has finally shown up. :)
