Good day..

I would like to ask if anyone here encountered to obtain a police clearance from uk? How and What method of payment? I have a crb but I'm not sure if this is okay as a supporting document since i lived there for 2 years. I have everything reading interview appointment and medical. This is the only document that I'm not sure of. Please advise.

Thank you for the reply. My concern is the method of payment which is not clear for me. I already called ACPO and they said I can pay by banker's draft from a bank which have a counterpart bank in uk. Anyone knows a bank here in the Philippines which can issue a bank draft in sterling/£ pounds? Please advise.

Try HSBC. We had the same issue with Singapore. THey wanted a draft in Singapore dollars and would not take no for an answer. HSBC was the only bank willing to do that for us.

Most banks do not require an account with them but, you will have a service fee charge for the bank check, plus courier fees to the UK.

Sorry, I don't know how much all these fees will be. You will need to call the bank and the courier.

Candy had a friend who has an HSBC account do it for her, so I have no info on how they will handle non-customers.

Forget Citibank. I do have an account there, and they would not do it for me. They were worred about losing 10 cents if exchange rates changed in a week.

Am Ex will also do it and charge it to your card, but for a Gold account only, not for a regular people's account like I have.

I would start with the UK consulate there in the Phils.

I enquired more than 5 banks who will do a bank draft in sterling/£ but sad to say they don't, even though i have an account on one of them. I decided to pay through bank transfer in which you have to give them the amount in pounds plus a charging fee for the transaction. Thank God it's done. Now, I'll just be waiting for the interview.
