Hello to everyone on this forum. I wanted to congratulate everyone who received their NOA2. I know this topic has been covered before but I have received case update below regarding my I-130 petition.

On December 2, 2014, we updated your name for your Form I-130, Immigrant Petition for Relative, Fiance(E), or Orphan, Receipt Number LINxxxxxxxxx. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

It has been 13 days since I received this update. I heard other members received an approval or an RFE hours or days after this case update. I still have not heard anything. Should I bother calling USICS and speaking with tier2 or should i wait it out a bit longer?

Thank you!

Definitely you should call them.

I received mine on July 14 and today it's exactly 5 months. I called them two days ago but I was told it's within the normal processing time :(. Still waiting....

Good luck!

Hello,

Today I spoke with USCIS Tier 2 officer and she informed me that they had to correct the last name of my wife because she has 2 last names and they thought that one of them was the middle name. She also told me that our I-130 petition will be assigned to immigration officer pretty soon. I guess we have to wait longer..... I just don't understand because according to Igors list some members that have June 30, 2014 NOA1 already got their petitions approved.

Be encouraged, you must be close if they are actually handing out information about your file over the phone!

The congressman's office is a good investment of your time, you have waited patiently, now USCIS can provide answers.
