:dance: :dance: Hicham's AOS was approved in West Palm Beach about 40 minutes ago!

I thought I would share our experience for anyone else that might be coming through (btw...we met gag and his wife on the way out).

We arrived at 9am. We went in the Infopass entrance by mistake. It is the only entrance that has a USCIS marking. We were told to go back on to Fern Street and go in the door by the wheelchair ramp. We go in, the security guard asks us if we have camera phones to make sure to put them in the car, and then tells us to head to the second floor. When we got off the elevator it was a little confusing. There are four doors. Two appear to be stairways and one says Suite 200. We went in that one and met two more security guards. We gave them all we were carrying and walked through the metal detector. They gave us our stuff back and told us to go down to the third door on the right and check in at the window in the back. The guy took our appointment notice, highlighted our name, and told us to take a seat.

There were easily more than 50 people in the waiting room. We thought...OMG...we'll be here for a long time. But, we could see people studying for their citizenship exam, etc. We were called in at 9:10 am (our appointment was at 9:30am). The man was extremely serious. He made me nervous! We were both asked to raise our right hands and swear we were telling the truth. He then asked if we were here due to marriage. Then he asked Hicham if he came in a K-1. He asked him if he had ever been involved with marijuana, cocaine, etc. He asked him if he had ever been arrested. He asked both of us if we had ever been married before. Then he asked if we had proof our marriage and living together. I told him I made copies and had the originals. He said the copies would be OK. So...I gave him a copy of our 2005 tax return, 2 bank statements (one from July and one from January), a copy of our health insurance card showing both our names, copies of our credit card showing a joint account, and copies of some of our refiancing papers for our condo showing both of our names. Then...he proceeded to flip through the HUGE file and just look at things. He asked Hicham when he entered the US and where he did. Then he asked us when we got married. He got it wrong. He looked at when we got the marriage license...not when we got married. We corrected him. He then said to me...oh...you were born in Vermont...we have a HUGE service center there. He asked Hicham for his passport. Then...he said I am approving you. He stamped a HUGE RED "APPROVED" on the paperwork, removed Hicham's I-94 from his passport, and did the I-551 stamp in his passport. He told Hicham this stamp will allow him to work and travel freely and to expect the green card in 2-4 weeks. He also gave us a paper he had Hicham sign that told us it is a conditional greencard and to file 1 year and 9 months from today to have conditions lifted!
