Montreal Consulate Question: E-mailing a requirement? [split topic]

Hi, I'd like to open this topic back up again. I'm in the same boat as Benoit and Jess from 2012. My fiance is a French citizen with Canadian permanent residence.

He just received word to send proof of his residency. He was told to "email" the documents to a link on the Consulate of Montreal's site... but the link is only for asking questions, and nowhere can one attach a document.

He lives in Montreal and works right next to the consulate. It seems ridiculous in my mind that he would have to sign up for DHL and drive to Lachine just to send these documents. Plus the letter he received did say to email the documents... with no email address. Can he email them? This thread seems to say no, but then again, 3 years have gone by...

####### Montreal????

Can anyone confirm or deny that this Loomis/DHL is his only option?

Merci beaucoup!

The email and instructions are here: http://photos.state.gov/libraries/canada/303578/montreal/Packet3-K1-MTL.pdf

Honestly it would probably be faster to drive to Lachine than to stand in line to get into the building to pick up the visa. Email them and see if it's possible, they do all communication via email now.
