Alien number is referred to the "A#" on your NOA2. It's also on the visa inserted into your passport.

no. at the bottom of my wife's passport it says "annotation" and then a number starting with "A", an eight difit number in her case. It is also on your noa( notice of approval) under your name where it says "beneficiary.

born2farm,

I am not familiar with F1 visas - do you or your school have to submit any petitions or applications to the USCIS in order for you to get the visa?

If not, and this adjustment of status application will be your first encounter with the USCIS (or its' predecessor INS), then you do not yet have an A#.

When I am filing those AOS related forms, I am asked to fill out "Alien's number".....Where can I find my alien's number?

I am here on F-1 student visa.

thanks
