Filled DS-160 Online - Can I continue with fee and appointment date without invitation letter?

Hello! Im new to VisaJourney, I have been researching on here looking for other experiences.

My fiance received NVC letters that said my case has been received by Ciudad Juarez and I can fill DS-160 Online ,what I did and got the confirmation.

Can I or Should I continue to schedule an appoinment at http://mexico.usvisa-info.com paying the $240 fee and selecting date WITHOUT the invitation letter they send from the CDJ Consulate?

I found the info at the consulate webpage: (instructions)

http://photos.state.gov/libraries/ciudadjuarez/231771/PDFs/k1k4dec13.pdf

I read some people just went to the information module at the consulate early in the morning asking for a hard copy of the letter and received it.

WILL I BE ASKED TO BRING THE INVITATION LETTER TO ACCESS THE CONSULATE or can I really ask for a hard copy of it and continue with those instructions?

Thanks! :)

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Yes, you need the letter for pretty much everything, along with the DS-160 confirmation and your appointment confirmations. It can take about 4-6 weeks after Juarez receives your case before you receive the letter, but have heard of people getting theirs faster than that. Some never receive one. They send it to both the petitioner and the beneficiary. Either copy can be used.

You can wait, or go ahead and schedule. You do not enter the consulate to ask for the letter, if it never arrives. There is an information/customer service window there that you would go to. You would go there and ask for the letter before having your ASC, medical and interview.

Thanks for the replay KayDeeCee!

I will need a co-sponsor for the Form I-134 and we are asking a friend of the petitioner if she can help us with it.

Is there any 'risk' if the co-sponsor is planing to apply for a loan soon ? ( loan not related with our visa case)

Thanks!

No, not at all. Your current gross income is what matters. Nowhere on an affidavit of support does it ask about debts. The CO will not ask either. Debt amounts are never disclosed.

Oh ok thats good. :)

My Fiance got the invitation letter today(FINALLY!, I was calling in the morning to the consulate to know if they had it but I could never get to talk to anyone, its weird because it looks its just a machine giving instructions to go check online on their website..but well). So i dont have to worry about receiving the letter anymore!

I was checking the pictures we have together so we can gather evidence of relationship, Any advice with this?

I have a lot of pictures of us but ...

practically all proof we have is: flight tickets (3), a lot of pictures , some starbucks tickets and one or two tickets from the theaters.

when is it considered good quantity of pictures and evidence? Can I just gather and print all together and get an album and some binders or something?

Is it never 'enough'? we have been together 3 times, (first time for 4 days, second time 2 weeks , and third time it was 2 weeks too) we started talking late july 2012 and met first time 2012 in December, second time late March - April 2013 , third time July 2013, after we knew that same sex marriage was legal again in California and we could start visa k-1 we have been preparing and researching how the process is, got new passport feb 2014 and filled I-129F late feb this year. + we have been doing skype every day , are screenshots considered relationship evidence? I was also thinking of adding letters from friends with signature and copy of ID..?

Thanks for all, hope its not too many questions (sorry about english tho) :content:
