Anyone here whose visa processing going to restart soon after retro?

I wrote to my consulate and they have restarted the process for me (8/12 PD). Pray for me my friends, that soon I will see my husband and my kitty cat again :-)

Before retro, I was already interviewed, but put under AP. It went on for about a month and then I was asked to submit the passport for visa issue. After I did, it was returned to me immediately because PD was not current in July and consulate advised to contact them once PD current. So I did, as soon as the September VB came out.

They are so nice at my consulate, I requested them if they can start looking at my file in August and get ready to issue me visa in early September rather than wait till September to touch my file, and they granted my wish. I was asked to submit my passport last week and I did, its with the consulate already. It was something like "Your file will be current in September. Please submit your passport for final processing".

I don't know what are the steps involved just before visa is issued, whatever it is I guess thats what they will be doing soon. Thats what I meant by restarting.

I did not receive GC. I have to wait my PD become current. I was in USA for AOS. the visa for travelling USA is not required. I am working in USA.
