AOS transferred to Nebraska, anyone else?

Our package was sent on May 14th, USPS said it got there on the 16th and just yesterday we got the three emails and text messages!!

Our package was also forwarded to Nebraska

That makes my mind rest a bit for now...whew! thx for posting. Based on what you've experienced, we should hopefully hear something this week I would think.

Our K1 adjustment of status was also transferred to Nebraska. Hopefully soon we will get the work permit as she now doesn't have an ID since she had to file a name change and new passport with her embassy. Right now she's using an expired state ID card that they wouldn't renew as the I-94 was for 90 days. At least she has something.

Our AOS was being processed at the National Benefits Center. We got RFE and I quickly sent the requested evidence. I received notification that on May 21 the National Benefits Center had received my RFE response. A few days later, while checking our case status through the USCIS website, like I do every second of the day , it had been updated to indicate that our RFE response had been received by the Nebraska Service Center. I did not get sms or email about this change, just came accross it and no word yet.

The same thing happened to me too. RFE on May 19 and I also sent the requested docs ASAP and it is not at Nebraska Service Center.

Well, yay for us! Last night at 1am we received our text and our packet was received. I logged into the website this morning and we are being processed at Nebraska as well... Hoping that's a good thing :-)

We received acceptance emails this morning for my cases and the email said my case has been routed to National Benefit Center but while checking online now i saw that it is being processed at Nebraska Service Center.I just pray they do it faster there.

Well our case was also transferred to Nebraska... But appointment letters for biometric arrived recently from Kansas City (We sent our AOS on May 14)...

So I actually spent 2 hours yesterday on hold to speak with an immigration officer about our status changing from the National Benefits Center to Nebraska Service Center. She was able to confirm that our I-485 was still at the National Benefits Center. I asked about the case status changing to Nebraska Service Center without notice and she said errors occur in the case status system and this was an error in our case. She was able to confirm that everything looked good in our case and no transfer had occurred. Anyone with same issue might want to call and ask where AOS is really at.

I am the USC. They asked to speak with my wife. She verified name, dob, and address and they asked her for her permission to speak with me about her case status. In our case we got an RFE and promptly sent back the information they requested. Our case status was updated to show they received the RFE response at the National Benefits Center on May 21. After a week I checked the case status again and it was the same status but instead of NBC it now reads Nebraska Service Center, and I never got a text or email about the change.

Hmm... I was wondering if mine might be saying Nebraska in error too because it is still showing as being in the 'Acceptance' stage online when this should only really be the case for a couple of days after it is received and once the NOA is sent it should be under Initial Review I would think? So I will probably give them a call just to check what is happening with it now!

I called USCIS today, they lady I spoke to seemed to think that my case would be sent to my local CIS from Nebraska as per the usual procedure so doesn't seem like it means theres an exemption for the interview with it being at Nebraska.

So I am a K1 visa holder, that is now in the US and married

I have mailed my AOS application including the application for EAD and AP.

It was received in Chicago, and the update on my online account says:

On August 14, 2014, your fingerprint fee was accepted and we have mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. Your case is being processed at our NEBRASKA SERVICE CENTER location. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

I have received my hardcopy NOA's for the i-485, and the EAD and AP, and I have also received my Biometrics appointment to attend in the second week of September - So things appear to be in order.

I understand from some threads, that some cases are being sent to Nebraska to help with the volume of applications in process right now, but I couldn't find any VJ threads relating to this after Nov 2013 (Forgive me if I have missed something obvious - I seem to have more trouble navigating this site than my husband does, but he is working full time, so I am dealing with the immigration side of things on my own as much as I can!).

As the Nebraska Service Center does not have a processing time guide for the i-485. I just want to be sure that an error has not been made. I am assuming if cases ARE being over flowed to Nebraska, and they don't normally deal with i-485 applications, then that would explain why they do not have a processing time guide for that particular application?

Does anybody have any information on the i-485 processing time for Nebraska? Or was your case also sent to Nebraska, and you can advise of your personal experience/timeline?
