AOS Change of Address Question

Hi everyone,

As I am moving next week, I need to submit a Change of Address request. I understand the easiest is to do it online on uscis.gov but I am unsure as to what to write in the "Entry into the US" section, more specifically the "date of entry". When clicking on the help "?", the following guidelines are given: The "date of entry" refers to the approximate date when you first entered into the United States. You may use an estimated date if the exact date is unknown. For example, if you only know that the entry was during the month of May in 1999, enter 05/01/1999; if you only know that the entry was during the year 1999, enter 01/01/1999.

Should I be entering the last time I re-entered the US with my EAD (2 months ago) or an earlier date?

Your help is really appreciated! :)

The info you copied here clearly indicates that people should use the approximate date when they first entered the USA.

Yes but this the guidelines are rather confusing. Is it the first time you EVER entered the US (near impossible to determine), the first time you entered with your visa that your are adjusting status from, or the first time you entered with your EAD card?

Seems a lot of people in past conversations say you should enter your last date of entry.

Has anyone had the experience of changing their address online?

I changed mine twice using the date I first entered but as we see in on post it may not matter. First to me means first. Couldn't you use the passport to help remember that date?

Just do the best you can and that will be good enough. Make sure you put your name in your mail box. I didn't do that and the postal worker returned my letter. It took me a month to get it back.

We might be moving soon, and from the information I gathering, what is the right answer to " Entry to US"?

Is it when I came to the USA for the holiday the first time ever, is it the time I came to AOS, or is the most recent entry back into US?

Lastly, I am the beneficiary and my wife is the US citizen, so I fill out the online AR-11 at https://egov.uscis.gov/coa/displayCOAForm.doand my wife mails out an I-865 located here http://www.uscis.gov/i-865, is this correct?
