Re-enterning with EAD/AP

Just curious...barring some kind of unusual circumstances, has anyone experienced or heard of any problems re-entering the US using their AP?

My wife will be returning to the US in Jul and has an EAD/AP with her...current passport, IDs, etc. We got the Green Card, although she left of Russia right after the interview while it was being finalized, so my mom has it now as we put her address on the application so it was sent to her (I'm deployed).

Since my wife has her EAD/AP combo card, I told my mom to just hold the Green Card instead of sending it to my wife in Russia and risk having it lost in the crazy mail system, and my mom will send it to us when we both return to the states. All good.

Just want to be 100% sure my wife will be okay re-entering with the combo card...if not, I'll have my mom send the Green Card as a double measure.

Want to cover our bases and ask questions now...thanks all!

Well we got married within the 90 days, so it wouldn't have been a question of overstaying...of course, unless we didn't.

She got the combo card in hand, did the interview and was approved, then took off for Russia for the remainder of my deployment, so all good. The Green Card came last week

I just want to be sure not to expect any issues during re-entry, not that I can think of reason why there would be. Not cool right before we re-unite and are together again when my deployment is up! :pop:
