Ok I have been doing the research on flying my Fiancée and 3 step kids to Atlanta as POE near the end of June but cannot find anything under $5000. But I can find flights to Orlando for $3700 that connects in Atlanta... We will be living near Birmingham, AL

I do not really want to put them thru a 10 hour Car drive after their flight from the UK so was wondering what the possibility of me having them disembark in Atlanta and go thru there as the POE? Negating the rest of the flight. You have to collect your luggage in Atlanta for customs anyway so that is not an issue.

(The flight does not leave Atlanta for over 18 hrs anyway so they would be stuck in Atlanta waiting for the flight to Orlando) I could probably even call and cancel the rest of their flight since they have such a long layover.

Any input?

I just looked for cheap flights from London and tried surrounding cities.. I found flights to jacksonville FL which is only 7 hours to birmingham for 885. That's about 3500 but then you should think of the time off of work for the car ride, gas and maybe a hotel. Is it worth it to save 1500 or just give in and have them come straight to you? Good luck in your search
