Right. So I was filling out "my" G25a with my family information. Then I realised -- why?

Am I doing this right? On the USCIS website it says this form is for ALIENS so why do I need to fill out one (aside from the obvious -- it's a requirement).. it doesn't seem to clearly indicate whose information should be filled out under "applicant"

It indicates "applicant's residence... etc." -- does that mean the person applying for the visa or the person filling out the form? I don't see any clarification on this. Do I fill out my info for the first set of boxes at the top and then my wife's (whom I'm petitioning) on "my form"? Or do I fill out all information regarding myself for my form -- which gives me pause because at the bottom it says to fill out your alien registration number and everything...

You have to fill one out for yourself (petitioner) and your spouse has to fill out the other one. There's samples here:

Thanks, but that link didn't answer my question -- that showed an example of a foreigner's G25A. This one: http://www.***removed***/forms/g-325a-sample-biographic-information.pdf seems to provide more insight on how one with US citizenship should fill it out.

It appears in this case the G25a is used to see whether the sponsor is a US citizen, Resident Alien or Greencard holder. That makes a whole lot of sense now.

Many thanks, appreciate the help!
