Thanks for that tip! I also discovered the reason it wouldn't allow me to submit the AOS application online was because of our MAC, but we have windows on it too so it would just be a matter of switching which application to use. I think I'll just mail in my AOS documents though!

Good choice! I was going to try to persuade you to mail in your documents over email but I see mrs thb beat me to it! You will be done with NVC in half the time like she said! And go ahead and mail both your AOS and supporting documents at the same time. There is a wiki on the NVC thread that talks about putting each set in there own envelope and then both envelopes into a bigger envelop to mail. You can send them both in before you pay your IV fee!

Do you know what page, or have a link that I can reference? I'm pretty sure I know what I'm sending based on the guides but you can never be sure haha.

Yea, it's probably the same thing...

http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Process

Hopefully that works! It has some good info in it that I would not have known otherwise and for the most part it's pretty current. The one thing that still surprised me though was that I had to include proof of current employment for my US husband. I learned that from talking to an NVC rep and I wouldn't have included it because we used the I864EZ form if I hadn't called and been told by them. I maybe just missed that though and it is in there.

Ironically I was just wondering about current proof of employment with the 1-864EZ form. Like, about to turn to my husband and ask for written proof to also include but he was reading something so I came to check here first. Good to know :)

And by supporting documents, are you referring to my IV package being sent in a separate envelope (together in a large envelope) but at the same time? That's what I was considering doing... only thing I haven't done was get new photos. I have everything else last I checked.

Update: sorry, I just realized I can't since I don't have my payment sheet or police certificate yet. I'll send AOS tomorrow and IV next week or so I guess!

A few final updates -- my husband's Visa was shipped from Montreal on 4/1; ready for pickup on 4/4.

With the holiday weekend, he's picking it up tomorrow, 4/7 and we've made his POE flight arrangements through Pearson on 4/11. Can't believe he'll be here in less than a week!

For all of you still going through the process -- hang in there! There is an end to this crazy marathon :)

congrats! I was going to POE on april 11 as well but upped it to April 10 via pearson

Ya that's what I was referring to. Oh ya police certificate you need. You don't need the payment sheet though! I sent both my AOS and IV package after my AOS fee showed paid but before my IV fee was even invoiced. You just put the AOS payment sheet on top of both packages! That was confirmed for many by the NVC reps as they just need the barcode #. I was told I could send it in that way as well. Without a police certificate though there is no point.

Make sure you send your AOS and the IV documents at the same time. I'd use two different envelopes inside one bigger envelope. If you send them apart you risk waiting longer for a CC.

**sigh**

Hey peeps..... I went into hiding for a little while after getting a really frustrating rep who just about dashed any hope I had of getting this process completed in time to get the kids registered for school in September! But that's a whole 'nother story......

***sigh***

So quick update..... got an email on my case, and 1 daughter's case that the pay-stub attachments in the AOS email were 'secured' I fixed it immediately and resent (within 10 minutes of the email)..... BUT I sent the same attachments for all three cases....so do I send the 'fixed' pdf on the third case too?!

THEN.... this morning I got another email from NVC on only MY case.... the infamous "we've got your ppwk, scan date is 03/12..." (small cheer that the pdf issue did not push my scan date into April!!

.....but now I am left wondering about my daughters' cases?!?! Do I send the corrected pdf on daughter's case that did not get the "we can't open a file" email..... where are the scan date letters on their cases.....

.....gah!!!

I think they've finally started to drive me nuts!!

.....and on top of everything else, I cannot find the earphones to plug into my cell to call the NVC as I'm at work!!
