Good luck on your interview. What is the elgibility document you mentioned? Im getting close to receiving my interview letter. Ive been at this since July 2013 so I really am paranoid and don't want to miss a thing?

I'm a naturalized Canadian citizen so Nvc required me to send me naturalization certificate and citizenship card. I had submitted the photocopies for those and the embassy needs the originals of that.

So interview on Friday and getting my things in order. If you guys can let me know if I'm missing anything that would be great! I already sent all the originals so I'm assuming I don't need to provide the originals again (duh)

P4 letter

Looms letter

2 passport pics

Medical

Original of eligibility document (this is the only photocopy I sent)

Passport

So above in my eyes are the only mandatory things I need (correct me if I'm wrong)

I'm also taking

-more proof of a bona fide marriage

Photocopies of civil docs (I don't know why I need this since I sent photocopies already to Nvc. It was on p4 letter so I'll do it)

-police cert photocopy

-marriage cert photocopy

-passport biographic page photocopy

-photocopy of my birth cert with translation

I think that's it for civil docs photocopy

Please let me know if it looks like I'm missing anything!

Thanks! Only 3 days away. Waited 14 months for this, don't want to screw it up!

I brought my original I-864EZ and tax transcripts, and they did ask for them. I also brought my husband's original birth certificate (along with my own - they only asked for mine, but you never know, right?). I also brought all original divorce docs (and they asked for those as well), so bring those if it pertains to you. In short, I brought everything I sent to NVC AND the original AOS packet, plus birth certificates. Cover all your bases and you will be fine. Good luck on Friday! :)

Yep. I did EP. Bring photocopies with you. If you did snail mail, they may not ask for those things but I would bring the copies just in case. Better to be over prepared, if you know what I mean! Sounds like you got it aced!

So i had my eyes set on March 20th for the end of our 60 days... it was because i had not realized (duh) our scan date was the date I received the email about said 60 days - a whole month after sending in our stuff. Which pushes back our 60 days finish line to April 21st. *sigh* oh well...

Wishing well to all of you who go to interviews soon... and quick followup from NVC to the rest of us! ;)

Were you told that by someone at the NVC? Here is an excerpt from my letter and I have read it MANY times to make sure:
"The National Visa Center (NVC) received your documents on 11-FEB-15.
...We expect it will be at least 60 days from the date we received your mail before we complete the review of your documents. We will notify you when we review your documents..."
To me that means 60 days from the date I sent it. If I were you I'd be calling and harassing the NVC every day haha! Apparently according to others the NVC has reported that they are having issues with electronic submissions and that is the reason for the delay. People who paper filed are getting approved in just over 30 days...us EP folks seem to be waiting about 70. Either way I think your 60 days are up!

Yeah, I actually called a few days before what I initially thought was my 60 days date and the (very nice and helpful) lady there told me that Id have to wait the 60 days after scan date and to call back around April 20th. I was bummed, and while i think calling back might be an option, im also kind of scared now that people said they have been told NVC pushes back their date by giving their case a new scan date every time they call!

Ill try calling once a week and ill let you know what happens then!

APPROVED! Oh man after 14 months of waiting it feels really good! Back at my hotel already

A quick recap as promised.

My review is based on snail mail method of submitting my documents to Nvc.

Left my hotel at 6:40 and stopped at Starbucks. Got to the consulate at 7:20. There was already a line of about 6-7 people (but 5 of them were part of two families)

They let us in at 7:30ish. The guard was nice and controlled the line well. Went through security and down to the elevator area. I sat as near to the elevator as I could. At 8 they opened the elevator and we got in. I was # 3 for immigrant visa. There were lots of non immigrant, student, work etc visa people.

Number 1 and 2 got called to the first windows right away. This was around 8:05. They stayed there a long time, probably due to them doing EP and needed to provide originals.

They called me to the first window at 8:35. I was there for only 5 minutes. All she took was medical, passport and passport pics, p4 letter.

The first two people were done their interview at 9. I went in for my interview at 9:05.

He asked me to read the oath and then asked general questions. How we met, where she works, when did we first meet in real life, the date we got married, asked a few questions about the AOS form and joint sponsor. He kept typing and in about 7-8ish minutes he gave me the infamous welcome to usa letter! I thanked him and left.

Went downstairs to get my phone. When it turned on it was 9:14. I checked the ceac site to check if it was already showing administrative processing. To my surprise it was already ISSUED! So at 9:15 I was out of the embassy with an issued visa!

I definitely recommend getting there by 7:15. A lot of people came after and you will end up waiting longer. If you want to leave by ~9 try to be 1-3 for immigrant visa number.

They didn't ask for any of my photocopies, didn't ask for spouses birth certificate. Did not show any additional evidence I had. But better prepared than sorry! One lady had 3 big binders, one photo album and one diary of sorts. She was well prepared lol.

I'm so happy! Gonna go eat and then drive to Toronto. Ask me any questions you guys wants!

Also thank you all for helping me and wishing me luck
