were you able to register with Loomis? I created an account but it tells me I am not ready for an interview. The website in the P4 letter is incorrect. Could it be because my docs are not at the embassy yet?

Yes -- we just registered this evening. I did check the CEAC website and our case is at the consulate so maybe that makes a difference?

We followed the link from the NVC Montreal Packet 4 instruction page here: http://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/Supplemental/MTL%20-%20Montreal.pdf

The link takes you to the "Nonimmigrant Visa" page for some reason, but I clicked on "Immigrant Visas" at the bottom of the page and registered from there. Everything worked fine for us and we got our confirmation page to take to the interview.

go to this site and check what your status shows

https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?eQs=o/iS8zDpeAKjMWCuebHqOw==

if it shows at NVC then you will have to wait until it changes to In transit and then Ready. Once it shows as "ready" then you can register for loomis

It shows ready , but I am still not getting an option to register for Loomis, I selected the first option to reister my appointment, it is just telling me my case number is not ready for an appointment. I think I will wait a few days.

my and my spouse had a missed call from NVC yesterday. Probably for the same reason. Like mentioned above, it is a nice touch.

Hopefully they have plans on reducing the current processing times.

Hey there hive mind

We are double checking all the paperwork to send in..... The AOS stuff is pretty straightforward, no worries. The Supporting Documents (beneficiary's stuff) I just want to double check to make sure I've got this correct:

My file -> birth certificate (Ontario Long form), marriage certificate, prior marriage termination docs, passport bio page, police clearance, passport photos (x2)

My children (both under the age of 10) -> birth certificate (Ontario Long form), passport bio page, passport photos (x2)

I don't need to include hubby's birth certificate, or any of the marriage/divorce stuff with the kids' packages, right?

For theirs, it seems like such a small amount that I feel like something is missing! LOL!!

So NVC received my case Dec 30, opened my case Feb 10... today is Mar 11 and I finally got through to someone and spoke with a supervisor and am still being told "you need to be patient it takes a while"... this is a bit extreme now come on! She gave me my invoice and MTL # at least but said they are backed up because the weather was so bad this winter they were often closed. She said everything is in electronically but they are still waiting for someone to finish entering everything manually into their files. *rolls eyes*.

I was told I can login online and fill out the DS-261 form to get a head start but can't submit fees yet... but could put the request in for my police records through NVC.state.gov and review everything I will need to get a head start (being pregnant and due soon I'm trying to get this done before I'm full term). Well, again, contrary to what I was told (and what I told her) I am not able to do any of this online yet. The saga continues.

You poor girl! My thoughts and prayers are with you if that helps!!! I'd call nvc back (hopefully you get someone else) and ask to speak to a supervisor. Now that you have you case number and iin number its worth the try. Hopefully they can release the AOS fee then you can pay and start submitting documents Its bogus that you have to wait this long while others sail past. Perhaps it might be in your best interest for your husband to contact his congressman to let him know of the situation. Fingers crossed for you T&B!!!

Why would you need a request for your police records from the NVC? You can just go to the commissionaires or RCMP and ask for a name check criminal record check (unless you've been convicted of a crime you don't need a fingerprint check.)

I just loved her excuse, "it's was a bad winter, we were closed a lot so no one was here to do it" and how she said everything is ready online but someone hasn't finished entering it manually. I was like "it's been over a month! Surly it doesn't take that long to print and file a few forms. It only took me an hour to get everything together" LOL.

I asked why ppl with case numbers since my NOA2 date from Canada were going ahead and she's like "they're not"... I told her they were, I've seen it lol. I also explained its not like we have a tricky case. We've been through this before, they have our records, there is literally nothing conplicated here. Our daughter is a USC, I'm a previous working resident with no criminal history, no past marriages or children from before Arden etc lol.

She said there is a link online now to obtain your records through the RCMP (I questioned it because I've never heard this and it makes no sense). I'm in the US now and will be until after the baby is born in June so will go online and submit my request through the RCMP if possible. I had a police record check already done before leaving Canada for another purpose (tried being proactive so requested it back after the place I volunteered at no longer needed it) but it expires this month.
