finally got my interview date! March 27. Was hoping for something earlier but oh well. Hopefully the end to this process is near.

Anyone know if Montreal is lenient with moving interview dates to something earlier? I want to try my luck (and finally get lucky for once in this process lol). How would I go about requesting for a change in date? (I know I have to wait until montreal gets my files)

Montreal is difficult to contact in the best of times. Unless you have a valid expedite, I wouldn't bother. The only way to contact them is their online form.

I called, and judging by your CC date, you probably have an interview date set as well :)

**sigh** I know patience is needed, and we still have a long road ahead of us...... BUT.... I see from Saylin's spreadsheets and others' timelines that the transfer from USCIS to the NVC is about 2 weeks, and tomorrow will make it 3 weeks for us.... (yeah, I know.....) I have gotten through to NVC three times in the last week or so, 1st rep (Jean) was no help and just gave me the "35 day" script but the other two (Fiona & Tessa) were very nice and actually looked up the receipt numbers..... I just want to know so that I can start the case number countdown :P

**sigh**

Onwards!! LOL!!

Congrats on the interview date BatmanFlow!! I have read other people's comments about the difficulty in getting through to MTL, but no harm in trying, right?!

Best wishes all!!

When we did the K1 process in 2010 we got an expedite through the Montreal consulate and at the time, I didn't know anyone else who had ever gotten an expedite.

Our reason was my (now) husband had just returned from Iraq and only had so many days before he had to go do field work for 30-60 days and his unit told him we had to have the interview and POE done by a certain date to be able to get married in time etc. So he got a letter from his unit, his deployment records etc and we scanned it all and sent it to Montreal via email. We got a reply in under two weeks I believe for an interview date 4 days out. We were out of state on leave so came back to Ottasa earlier where I got everything I needed and drove to Montreal and had the interview. It was super quick but like I said, I don't know anyone else (personally) who has had an expedite. This time around I am due with our baby in June so I am requesting an interview date either early or July so I can travel. Let's see lol.

Sorry, just reviewing my timeline it looks like I sent packet 3 on July 28, had a reply from Montreal on Aug 13 and interview was the 20th I think. At the time it was super quick and rushed but it worked out perfect! POE was Sept 3, we were married Sept 25 and 4 days later he left for the field for a month and wasn't allowed time off until January.

The email was sent the week after packet 3, I wanted to make sure they received our stuff first.

Called NVC and finally got through. This lady wasn't nice or helpful lol. All she said is they are working on it as we speak and that I need to have patience. Lady, it's been over 42 days and the last guy TOLD me to call! She also said our mail will get sent to our old address because I need to wait until it's sent out before I can correct it. Thanks for nothin lady lol.

I should add, our address was updated with USCIS but NVC never updated it on our file.

Best wishes!!

p.s. and as a side note, I find it funny that the language filters change your user name when someone quotes you ;) LOL :) Being from a British family "b u g g e r" is something we heard often ;) LOL!!

Ya I'm not sure why it does that haha its not an offensive word!

Well for each call I can get through to NVC it takes 20 tries. With a toddler it can be difficult to find time. I'm not sure why "working" on my case is taking so long. All I need it the new forms sent to me with a case # and then I can start the process. Maybe I should remind them how impatient pregnant women are.

I got my P4 email just now.

One of the documents listed under document name is "ELIGIBILITY DOCUMENT" It has the code "J"

J = The NVC only received a photocopy of the document. You must present the original document at
the time of your interview.

What is this eligiblity document?? I dont know what this would be :S

Thanks!
