so they did do the second round of feb interviews but somehow skipped mine (another one with dec 30 CC got a feb 5 date on here)

Should I be concerned? just wondering why it would be overlooked. Hopefully I am over thinking it and there were no slots left.

I got my CC on dec 30 (supervisor review of lost docs) but since I didnt know if they would find it I just resent one of the docs. The doc delivered on dec 29, i got CC dec 30 and then I got a email on Jan 5 saying they received my doc and it will take 60 days (this is im assuming for the doc I sent that they lost). This is the only reason I am concerned, somehow its affecting the case? blah maybe I am just being paranoid. I just want a damn interview date so I know its moving along lol.

USCIS

January 8th 2014 - NOA1

November 28th 2014 - AOS and IV Checklist (4 items in total. 3 for documents they lost. Called on December 9 and a rep said no checklist for IV....go figure)

December 8th 2014 - Checklist scan date.

December 30th 2014 - Case Compl........NOT. So after not having an interview date yet, I called again on Jan 30th and apparently its in final review with a supervisor.

February 6th 2015 - Case Complete: Supervisor called from NVC to confirm everything has been completed now.

Might have been a cancellation, not necessarily a second round. Hopefully you will get one soon :) .

Just thought id come and wave hello to you all, fellow Canadian filers!

We just finally sent the IV this weekend, and the two packages were sent by email today. I was an absolute nervous wreck, checking everything ten thousand times! And good thing I did as my canadian postal code was missing from the I-864!!

Just waiting patiently (ummm  ) and hoping for no checklist!

Say I dont get any checklist (fingers and toes crossed here), id be looking at 4 months or so for a Montreal interview, right? And with a checklist quickly taken care of, something like 6 months? The best possible scenario would be for me to POE around July 1st - to avoid moving twice (did you know everyone moves the same day, here in Quebec? We are weird like that!) - and I was wondering if that was plausible.. Say it is, ok?

Im Marie by the way, married to Frederick who is in South Dakota! Nice to meet you all!

Montreal in Spring is quite lovely. Even I thought so and it's a place I'd never had on my list to visit. :)

Hi All,

Silly question, but I think I will ask it anyway.

When folks talk about scan dates, do they mean:

X: the date that you actually emailed documents to NVC (real world date)

Y: the date NVC chooses to open their emails (NVC date) or

Z: the date that the "60 day" letter arrives?

Thanks so much, and stay warm!

I think Y. People call and ask when the file has been inputted into their system.

lol you think Toronto winters are depressing? you're lucky you didnt have to be in Montreal in January. I just got back and it was nasty there. So much more snow than Toronto and much colder. Also apparently they dont clean or salt their sidewalks. Walking to places was a mission.

I agree, Montreal is beautiful. It was cold and snowy but I still liked it.

Hi everyone,

I had my interview today and I got approved :) Just like everyone has said here, it was the easiest part of the whole process. Thanks to NLR and all other active members of Canada section for helping out.

p.s. keep a $10 bill on you in case lady at the counter doesnt like your passport photos. Some applicant had to re do her photos downstairs and machine only takes $10 bills.

p.p.s They have a new table set up right in front of elevator door that has huge banner saying "Visa Receptionist". Just go to that table instead of window 14 and she will give you the applicant number. They also dont do C1, C2, C3..etc numbers anymore. Numbers are just applicant 1, 2, and so on.

221g from Montreal:

We received a 221g for proof of domicile in December. I, the petitioner had a firm job offer starting May 1, but that was deemed not adequate, the consular official wanted proof of school enrollment for our children. Now I have a lease agreement and I am in the process of doing the school registration, based upon the lease agreement.

Does anyone know how long it might take the consulate to return the passport after we send the additional proof of domicile and passport to Montreal?

Hello! Getting antsy here: I emailed both packages on Monday around noon and I still have not received any reply-email-nothing. Shouldn't we receive the "60-days-email" soonish? Should I call NVC to ask if they received/scanned our stuff? Thank you for your advice!

My experience with NVC has shown some major variation in their email-opening abilities. Keeping my fingers crossed for you that they'll send you a receipt (and start that 6o day clock) soon!
