Hello fellow Canadian VJers! I hope this is the right thread to ask questions!

We finally moved forward with our visa process. It's been at NVC for almost a year now. We paid the AOS fee and did the choice of agent on Dec 16 but we are not able to pay the IV fee. We suppose the bill is not generated due to our DS-261 not yet accepted?

1) Should we submit our AOS document electronically first?

2) Wait for IV bill to be paid first before submitting electronically?

Also, are we suppose to receive a checklist from NVC before submitting our documents?

Thank you in advance!

Finally got a CC yesterday!

Does anyone know how fast Montreal is at booking interviews and notifying the parties?? Going by historical data they should be booking February interviews. Hoping to get the email confirmation so I can get my medical done and prepare to tie up loose ends.

This is finally getting real :| thought I was dreaming when I woke up this morning lol

I saw on here that Montreal was scheduling, so I called NVC. Call them, it's the only timely way you will find out. Apparently it takes seven days for them to notify you AFTER they have scheduled your interview. Call them now! :)

And congrats by the way!

Just received my P4 email, this thing is starting to feel real finally! I am just wondering though...they are requesting originals of scanned documents (of course), and are requesting my military records. Out of the 309 pages I received, I condensed it down to 204 pages for NVC after weeding out duplicate information. I have the whole thing on a CD. Should I bring them the CD, or burn a CD of the condensed version, or just print out the 204 pages that I sent NVC?

My gut tells me to bring the original CD and a copy, AND the printed pages. I don't even know if they accept digital media for our case files, so I figured I would ask here.

Thanks in advance!

They don't accept digital media. You're gonna need to print. :( Buy some ink and cheap paper and print on draft quality if you can!

Hello Everyone!

So i'm getting ready for my interview in Montreal on Jan 8th! I'm so nervous and I'm about 99% sure I have everything I need...I keep going over my documents though haha.

Anyways, besides all my original AOS and IV docs and copies, loomis confirmation page, NVC interview email, medical package, my passport and a copy of the bio page of my husband's passport - is there anything i'm missing??

Also, I remember reading that we have to pay a fee at the consulate for shipping my passport back. Do I take cash or card and how much is it? Or is that something I do after my interview?

Thanks!

I don't think that we have to pay at the consulate for them to return our passports back. I thought it would have been covered in the IV fee? I am not sure, may be NLR can answer this better.
