On the 0925 from Toronto now..... Is it wrong to still be getting my VJ fix from the train?

Have my trunkload of documents... but forgot my phone! Ack!

I am staying at the Mariott tonight and will try to stay in bed 'til 5 am at least!! No idea yet what time I'll get to the consulate. Depends on how many coffee stops I'll need.

Hi Kanuk,

Which Marriott are you at. We are at the Chateau Champlain.

We went and picked up my Medical report so we are now ready for my 10am interview tomorrow.

Had my medical today at 10am with Dr. Mascarenhas. I picked this doc because everything was done all in the same building, but what do you know the lab there moved 3 blocks away!! UGH lol. Just my luck. They did say that another lab will be opening there in December or so. But I drove down the street and parked in the Loblaws parking lot then walked the rest of the way there so I wouldn't have to pay for parking again.

They needed 4 passport pictures and parking was $10 in the lot next to the building. Traffic was HORRIBLE! And the weather didn't help.

He just took my blood pressure, asked me if I was healthy and made sure I had a flu shot. Easy peasy.

At the hotel! The weather is awful and of course we forgot to bring hats/mitts so we went to the mall and bought some. Verrry confusing mall. Anyways, on the way back I was took a stroll to find the consulate, and there it was! Just one tiny block away from my hotel, it's awesome ^_^ I said to my hubby "I'm pretty sure the consulate is right there" and he said "No I think it's the other direction" I won this round.

If anyone is staying at the Courtyard by Marriott also we're going to be eating at the restaurant in the lobby!

Edit: We're going to the movies and then a Mexican restaurant probably!

Yup. Had him last week... One day after the lab moved. He said just a short walk.... Ha!!

But I did laugh when asked if I was healthy and he took my blood pressure then took my 300 cash...

That was some medical.

hahaha, short!! hahahaha right. I thought about walking, but that wind today was not nice.

I'm more mad about this loomis thing to get our passport back after the interview. London is almost 2hrs away and that is the closest to me so I will be paying the extra to have it sent to my home.

APPROVED!!!

got to the Consulate just after 9am. I had given my documents by 9:20. I was called for the interview at 9:45 and was done by 9:55.

I sat with CdnarmyGrl, Brenda. She had arrived earlier and was done quite quickly

There was another woman waiting. She had an even number and she waited more than an hour to be called. We waited with her until she was called. The odd numbers were moving along much more quickly. So your speed for this process also can vary from person to person.

APPROVED!!!

got to the Consulate just after 9am.

Woohoo!! Congrats :D
