It isn't easy to break me down into tears, but boy this NVC thing is tough. We got our NOA-2 for a K-1 visa on Sept. 25 and we still don't have our case number.

I was advised last week to email NVCResearch and did so.

Here's my question: do I keep calling or wait for them to figure the ###### out? I'm using Skype but even that's starting to get expensive after four weeks of calling.

Call on the computer using Google voice so it's free.

Congratulations for surviving NVC!! LOL :) :) Now on to the easy part (from what I've read - lol) Hoping for speedy & easy interviews for you both :) :)

No interview date yet, case complete was Oct 31, however I just received the case complete official letter, dated Nov 7.

I am wondering if we will all be scheduled only for Jan interviews. Perhaps December schedule is already full considering the consulate is closed Dec 25, 26 and Jan 1 and 2.

It would be cool to have someone from vj to wait in line with.

Any advice or opinions on Loomis pickup location to select- Brampton vs Markham? Does Brampton typically receive documents from Montreal earlier than the Markham location for example?

I recieved them in Alberta the next day and some have in BC the next day. Locaction doesn't speed up receiving the visa, just keep on top of Loomis after CEAC says issued.

So, I submitted all the docs (EP - AOS and IV together) on Oct 20th. They acknowledged on Oct. 30th and requested we resend the tax transcripts, which I did on Nov.7th. Meanwhile I received the 60 day email on Oct. 31st.

Early this morning I receive an email from NVC telling me they received the transcripts on Nov. 7th, and it will take up to 60 days blah blah blah. Am I correct in assuming that the 60 days starts from Nov. 7th?

...and they send me yet another email at 5:27 AM this morning saying they received my docs on Oct 31 and it will take at least 60 days blah blah blah. I really wish they would make up their minds. I mean, I don't really mind their attention and all (looks as though they are tripping all over my case over there, but I know better..), but every time I get an email from them lately, I freak a little that it might be a checklist.

So what is it, oh mighty NVC? Is it Oct 31 or Nov 7? I'm not so sure that they even know :rolleyes:
