Ok our interview and approval was the same day as Ravan and CEAC switched from approved to issued the next day but I have not gotten a Loomis notification. I contacted Loomis who informed me that the Consulate has not shipped our package yet. I am starting to get worried...what should I do?? :huh2:

Keep contacting your loomis. That's all you can do. Hopefully it's soon!

We got our Case approved Oct 20 and still waiting on our interview to be scheduled...anyone know how long we have to wait for that perhaps?

Tracking on the Case Complete --> Interview sheet shows most people are getting their interviews within 5 days.

We got it! Interview scheduled for December 3 @ 9:30a! Two days before my b-day, best present I could have ever asked for!

The document I received said that I do not need to go, but of course I am going!

Question about medical. Given that we will be flying in from Calgary to Montreal. Is it 3 business days for medical / lab processing? That's what I've read so that means we'll have to come in the previous week and wait for processing right?

Congrats on your case complete and interview date. When was your last scan date if I might ask? My wife and I got an scan date of Oct 14 for her IV docs. Everything else was submitted and completed. I am hoping for a late January interview.

As for the medical. I read that too that it takes at least 3 business days for your medical to process. What a money grab for the city of Montreal. The only way to avoid it is if the spouse lives in Toronto or Montreal. My wife is in Saskatchewan so we are in the same boat. I would call the medical lab in Montreal and ask them for all the information. As soon as we get our case complete I am calling them to get an updated story. Why can't they just send the results themselves to the embassy? I know so citizens wouldn't have to pay for at least 3 more nights and expenses in Canada.

It seems like everything in this process is fluid. So who knows by now it might be 7 business days (being sarcastic).

Good luck to you on your interview and married life in the States.

Thanks boardercrosser!

Everything went down to the wire on their times. 60 days for the last thing we sent in to get reviewed. I had a AoS correction that had to be submitted, was submitted on 8/19/14 and case completed on 10/20/14 so yeah spot on 60 days basically.

Follow-up question.

I've heard that it's possible to stay an extra day and pick up the visa and approved paperwork the following business day after an interview. Is that correct or does it need to be mailed?

Hey everyone! I am hoping that someone can help me here. I sent my docs in on Oct 20 and I just received an email from NVC...so they have them, but there's a problem. The IRS tax transcripts I sent ended up being password protected. Now, I took ppls advise here and had my husband print them off the download and scan them and send me the files. I thought that would do it, but they are saying that the files are password protected still. Can anyone shine some light on what I am doing wrong? How can one download those things, print them, etc, and they are still inaccessible? I don't get it. Please help me if you can...

Thanks in advance!

Hi Dagnon,

That would be news to me. You have to sign up for a loomis delivery account I am pretty sure and have a receipt to present at the interview. I think they tell you if you passed your interview or not, but then it takes them 5-10 days to send your passport back by that loomis account. Correct me if I am wrong other experts.

Yes it takes 3 business days after the medical day to process the medical results. The only faster clinic is the one in Vancouver. You can look up flights and see if it would be cheaper to fly back and forth twice than stay in a hotel for the time period. It was for me but I took a mini vaycay by myself and was there for a week.

Follow-up question.

Nope. Needs to be mailed. Sometimes you'll get it the next day across the country and sometimes it takes a 2-3 weeks.

Is the file just too big? Make sure it's under 5mb and that's he's sending the right file.

They are each 7kb. NVC specifically stated that they are password protected. Heck, all I can find on Google so far is that you can change the security if you are the originator of the document. Otherwise they say you have to download some password cracking software that could take days to crack the password, if at all (which I strongly doubt it could, being US govt). :(

I am just wondering how others who did EP managed to get around this problem..

I was really hoping we wouldn't have to order hard copies, but it's looking like we have no choice. I can find no way to unlock those PDFs. He is going to order them asap, but the optimist in me is still hoping there is a way around it.. <_<

Sorry for blowing up the thread, but I just got off the phone and found out that the Mister did NOT print out the transcripts. He just saved the files I sent and resent them to me. He only printed the I-864EZ...geez. So...I believed I have found my answer. Failing that, there's an IRS office in Fargo.

Thanks to all who endured my little freak out, It has been a long day, and a long week, and there's nothing like an email from the NVC to get the blood going. Nite all! :)

This is why you NEVER let the husband do things! The only thing my husband did was sign the i86ez and create an IRS account. I downloaded the forms, printed, scanned, put in one pdf, made sure they weren't protected, then shoved them into dropbox so my hubby could do any extra things I didn't know how to do! Mostly he just reorganized everything and compressed the files and sent the email off himself. Yep yep...
