:dancing: WOOHOO!!!!! CASE COMPLETE!!!! :dancing:

Called this morning and got a case complete as of yesterday. My last scan date was September 5th, however, I presume they went by my AOS scan date of August 12th. I'm doing EP and sent in both AOS and IV packages before paying the IV fee or completing the DS260. Since everything was there when it was time to review my AOS package, they decided to review everything together.

Does anyone know when scheduling is done for the Consulate in Montreal? I forget where I read this, but I believe they usually do scheduling at the beginning of each month?

I had my medical at Dr. Cheema's back in 2012 and it was really hard for me to find. I almost drove past it and was having serious anxiety issues when I couldn't find it. It's kind of hidden in the back and not clearly labelled. It's also beside another plaza with many doctor offices that I first went to mistakenly.

I should've taken a picture for Visa Journey. Maybe someone can take a picture in the future so people will know what it looks like.

Going back to Dr Cheema's office tomorrow to pick up my package on my way home, will try and get a photo of the office. But I Google 'street viewed' it before we went and it helped us find it. It certainly is a funny little place to get to.

I'm going to Dr. Cheema's office on Oct 16th! :star:

Did you have a chance to take a photo, Sylea? :huh2:

Alas I did not, sorry - I ended up very sick with a bad cold that day, so totally forgot about the photo :( and had a long drive back to Kelowna still. But if you want specific directions, PM me and I'll be glad to describe exactly where it is, if that helps.

The exam itself was quick and easy, Dr Cheema is very pleasant, and his staff are also very nice. You have to go up the street a few blocks to get your xray and blood test done.

Best of luck!

Peace.

I forgot the exact forum post but the gist is interviews are scheduled for the next month during the first two weeks of the current month.

For example if a case is processed between October 1 and 15 it'll be for a November interview. Miss the cutoff and the case waits until the 1st of the next month.

Hi Everyone,

My wife finally received her Taiwan police clearance and scanned her civil documents. Finally done with all the gathering process. Just waiting for a case complete now. Some people are getting fast and some are waiting close to 60 days. I hope ours is in the former category. Good luck to all.

Hi Raven! I have been brushing up on the reviews portion of this site lately and that seems to be what is happening lately. I have read a few now where people have arrived around an hour before their appointment time and there has hardly been a line at all. I also read one where the person got there at 6:30 and was sent away and told to come 1 hour before the appointment time.

It sounds to me as though they are wanting to avoid the "first thing in the morning line up" crunch, so they are enforcing the appointment times. It makes sense to me...why bother with appointments when you allow a rush grab at the very first appointments. I really thing they are trying to make things more efficient. JMO :)

Good luck to you guys as well! what time did you get yours? I am still trying to figure out when to go over lol

Ours is at 9. My husband isn't exactly an early bird and since we will be taking an hour long metro ride to the interview we will probably get there around 8:30. I am a Texas girl and don't really want to stand in the near freezing temps for an hour if I don't have to! It seems like the wait time isn't too bad if you get there at your interview time. In and out in a couple hours. What time is your interview? Do you or your husband live in the Montreal area? If not when are you flying in and where are you staying?

Where did you read they were turning people away for being too early?

It has been in a few of the consulate reviews.

I saw it in one... but most people just seem to be showing up an hour early anyhow vs what we did before.

BTW how the numbers work is

C1, C4, C7 etc all go to a specific window

C2, C5, C8 etc all go to a specific window

C3, C6, C9 etc all go to a specific window

Then from the order that you go up to the windows at, is the order you're called for the interview at. If someone spends a long time at a window that can throw the order out of whack so window with C1 might be faster and calls more people than window C2 for example.
