Thanks for replying.

I also sent AOS documents by email, on Sept 5. I hope I get some sort of email response. I sent I864 because my husband, the intending immigrant) is eligible to file I864W. Could you post on this forum if you get any reply to your Sept 3 or Sept 5 emailed documents?

Thanks.

Replying from my phone and having a hard time...lol

Yes, the reply was simply from when I sent in my AOS documents.

Also yes, for the IV documents, sent them in before paying the IV the bill. I contacted NVC yesterday about my AOS after noticing an error. They advised me to send another one now (which I will do today). I had asked her if sending the IV documents before you pay ur IV fee was ok, and she said that it was a good idea. Only time will tell I guess.

Did you receive any email confirmation that your AOS or IV emailed packages were received by NVC?

Thanks for your previous replies.

I decided to do EP because it saved me money and I could keep my originals.

I downloaded a free version of adobe (the newest one) and used that to shirk my MB size and add my case number to the top of each page. Saylin makes an excellent point in the WIKI to do that because we really don't know what they do with our documents. (if they print it out, just look at the attachment, roll it up into a ball and play basketball LOL)

After that 60 day email was sent out I also decided to go ahead and send my IV package even though my fee wasn't ready to be paid because I PRAY and HOPE that it will save some time. But who knows really.

Hope that helps you guys

Even with emailed docs it takes up to 60 days to get confirmation they've been reviewed and added to your case file. Also keep in mind it is the consulate that makes the final determination on forms etc... So while the NVC adds the AOS to your case file and tries to make sure it's correct and filled, they do not approve anything.

If your husband can send the I-864W you should not be doing any I-864 or I-864EZ. Only send the I-864W along with the proof of his eligibility to use it as per the instructions.

Thanks for your previous replies.

I did but it wasn't right away. More like 1 or 2 months lol. I called them to see if they got my email. Some said they received something but couldn't see what it was. Others said they see nothing. I just call the next day to ask again lol. I have no problems stalking them.

NLR, thanks.

Yes, I sent only I864W, with documentation they want- Social security statement.

To prove re-establising domicile ( I am the USC, living in Canada with Canadian citizen husband- in a separate email I sent my job offer, and email correspondence from school district.

I sent this re-establisihing domicile as a separate email because I did not want to confuse NVC, by sending this with the I-864W, since this is so different from the I-864/I-864EZ.

I hope I did the correct thing. I only did this Sept 5, so if you have any other suggestions i can send another email with the correct/proper documentation.

Even with emailed docs it takes up to 60 days to get confirmation they've been reviewed and added to your case file. Can hubby send in his 1040s with T4s instead of tax transcripts? I know that he can send in 1040s with W2s, but since his income was in Canada there's only T4s.

Did he send the T4's with the tax return? make sure to include the form 2555.

Unless his income is continuing, I dont' think they need the t4s.

Absolutely!

I think between CC and interview date was the ONLY time I called the NVC almost daily.

Thanks for posting.

I talked to NVC just now. They said that only when someone looks at the email might I get a reply and even that may take 60 days just to receive an acknowledgement! I sent my AOS-I-864W by email on Sept 5 so I will see if I get a reply in the next 2-3 days.

One more question- did you scan your passport pictures in your IV package? Although Saylin's wiki says to do this, the NVC instructions don't mention anything about scanning passport photos for EP.

I also have an issue with my AOS fee- shows PAID on payment portal but N/A on the IV portal. The rep I spoke to said it is ok, and I am not convinced that she understood what I was asking. The payment was processed Sept 4.

Thanks!
