Thank you!! SUPER relieved, 156 days at the NVC!!! Nope, no email even though they promised one would be sent. Did you get one?

I called today because I was driving myself crazy checking CEAC site and they confirmed CC. They said email would be sent when an interview was schedules but as they dont tend to send the emails they say they will I may call on Friday to see if an interview date has been set. When you find yours out let me know! We may be in Montreal at the same time!

I have a question. During the interview it seems like a common question to be asked is have you even been arrested. My husband was arrested twice as a teenager. Once for possessing burglary tools (vice grips in his pocket) for which he served community service and once for spray painting on a building ( charges where dropped) but these aren't on his record and he has his clear police report. He should still tell the interviewer that he was arrested as a teenager correct? Will the stupid things teenage boys do put us at risk for denial?

He could say yes as a minor.

I was never asked this question btw. But maybe they ask it of men more.

So after 45 minutes listening to 'you may experience a brief delay', LOL, I can confirm that our case IS complete as of August 29th!! One more step left.

The officer I spoke to would not tell me when to expect my email with an interview date, just 'when space is available at consulate'. She said I would get one email indicating case complete in the next few days, and then another when the interview has been scheduled.

PLEASE tell me there isn't going to be a long delay between the 2!

Sarah - maybe we will see each other there! That would be totally cool, since I'm going to Montreal by myself from BC.

I feel a great sense of relief. I can't imagine anything coming up at the interview that will be problematic, I've got my interview binder all ready, save my original documents.

Cheers to all! :) :) :)

I'll be having mine with Dr Cheema in Surrey BC. It's so costly for me to go to Montreal, I don't want to spend any more time there than I need to. I'm figuring 2 nights at most.
I'm heading down to Vancouver with hubby Sept 24, so hoping I can coordinate my medical at the same time - so long as I get my interview date email in the next couple weeks. Have no idea how quickly he books.

Also Karebear - I can't believe you don't have case complete yet?? Hope it's soon for you. :)

Question for those who did EP- did you actually write the NVC case number on upper right corner of each document? Or did you only put the NVC case number, name and document name in the pdf document title? The NVC instructions for EP only say name each scanned file/document, with case number, name and document name. However Saylin's wiki says to also hand write or text type NVC case number on upper right corner of each document.

What are most people doing for EP?

I'm doing EP, and yes, I put my case number on top of every corner. For the form like I-864, I printed off little labels and put them directly on the top right corner. As for my certified originals (marriage certificate, birth certificate ect.), I used one of the labels, without removing it's back so it wouldn't stick to my document, and placed it on the scanner with my document on top. You could also just use sticky notes or add them in your PDF file directly with a text box. I believe the instructions for the text box is in Saylin's wiki.

Do I call again?? To see if I have a date yet?? Not being able to plan ANYTHING is driving me crazy!

Thank you all for listening. Happy Friday!

Thanks for replying re: case number on documents.

I have two more questions:

-Your timeline says you received a confirmation email from NVC that you are doing EP. Did you send any special email to enroll, or was this in reply to your AOS package email?

-Did you send your IV package before IV bill available to pay? I am planning to do the same, hence my question.

Thanks in advance.

Replying from my phone and having a hard time...lol

Yes, the reply was simply from when I sent in my AOS documents.

Also yes, for the IV documents, sent them in before paying the IV the bill. I contacted NVC yesterday about my AOS after noticing an error. They advised me to send another one now (which I will do today). I had asked her if sending the IV documents before you pay ur IV fee was ok, and she said that it was a good idea. Only time will tell I guess.
