Been doing this LDR for 10 years....I refuse to count the $$$$ spent supporting American Airlines and all the rest. But worth every penny as my man is absolutely amazing!!!

Our case was just transferred, to where?, we don't know...., but we're happy we are one day closer to never having to say goodbye at an airport. We are so very grateful to our jobs that we have never spent months and months apart. We just can't imagine.

We have been blessed and are thankful.

We continue to count our blessings and pray for others.

Amen.

God bless and namaste.

My sweet husband and I have been waiting 15 long years to be together and let me tell you, this last 4 months at the NVC has been the worst part of this whole wait. My husband is a wonderful man and he completes me in every way and is well worth the years and the tears. He will be here in a few weeks for an unplanned trip to keep me from going insane due to all the delays we have encountered at the NVC. I pray that the airport goodbye at the end of this visit will be the last one we ever have to have.

We got our NOA2 on July 7th, NVC received our case on July 28th. We got our case and IIN today, and filled out the DS-261. I read about all the delays going on at NVC and fully expected to wait the full 30 business days to get the case numbers, I'm crossing my fingers that this means that NVC is getting their act together, but knowing how this process works it's probably a fluke :(.

Well, here I am again....

Still no change to our case at NVC - Civil and Financial documents still show N/A, fees still show PAID. All documents received at NVC July 8th.

I thought the wait at USCIS was hard, but I swear this is worse. Not having a date of interview, no way to plan ANYTHING. I'm a planner and an organizer type, so this is really putting me to the test!

Boss wants to post my job (I said not yet) Landlady wants to list my condo (I said not yet) Husband wants to book ticket to come out to BC for our wedding anniversary next month (I said not yet) Son wants his mom to come down to Vancouver to visit him (I said not yet).

Ugh. Anyone else having similar feelings???

Thanks for letting me vent. :ranting:

YES!!! Still no activity for us either (July 10 priority date) Life is put on hold for EVERYONE, me...him...his roommate. How do we plan anything??? We cant!! I have said over and over again that this is sooo much worse than USCIS was. I mean there I KNEW it would be a while, but I was under the impression that the NVC was just a quick stop and it has proven not to be!!! I'm with you sister!!

I have a couple of questions about the AOS stuff. DH lives here in Canada, but he's going down to take care of some residency stuff. We have a few preliminary things (a lease, an active bank account, a job offer from his dad) that we could send right away, can we send that and then send to rest of the stuff he's getting (car registered and insured down there in his name, voters card, proof of setting up the house etc.) when he gets back. We thought that we wouldn't get a case number until mid September, so we don't have it all ready to go, and I hate waiting unnecessarily.

Also since DH lives and worked here, when he does his AOS form, should he put what his number on his 1040 form is, or put 0 since it's foreign income?

I feel like when hubby came here, it was sooooooooo much simpler than it is going there,

If zero was his total income then zero it should be.

You pretty much sound like you have everything you need to domicle. Have the two main ones covered, a place to live and a job offer.
