Good day every one. Im sharing my k1 fiance visa interview last June 5 at US U.S. Embassy, Manila Philippines.

About 3am i woke up and called my brother Aldrin to come in our hotel to join my daughter Shyna at St. Lukes for her medication every morning, around 4am he came and i was curling my hair that time. I made a cup of coffee and ate slice of bread before I went to USEM. Went I am waiting the elevator I met a couple who will go to USEM too for their interview so they invite me to join them and we walk from City Garden Suites to USEM. We arrived there around 5am and I felt a little nervous there were so many applicants.
While in the line I was holding my rosary and pray LOL! There were 4 lines there for the seafarers, tourist visa, immigrant visa and non immigrant. Around 7am the guard allow us to come inside the premises. I ready my passport, appointment letter and my Department State form DS 160. i went thru security check my bag put in xray machine no cellphone,no USB,no camera and other metallic things.
I gave my appointment confirmation to the teller, i was asked for my name and birthday. If i completed my medical, was the result given to me in envelope or in cd. In my case, a cd was given. She gave me my number, keep it my mind, the number given to you will be used for the whole process of the interview. She instructed me to drop my papers at window 39 and prepare the necessary requirements for the interview. My lucky number was 6156. Then I waited my number to flash on the board in the waiting area. I was nervous while waiting around 8:30 my number flashed and hurry to come inside the main building and went to window 42. I am shaking when I saw he is American Consul hehehe. I greeted him " Good morning Sir" then he replied with a smile. Then he asked my name and my birthday after that finger printing..i though it is the start of the " grilling question " hahahah. Then he say " you may take your sit and wait for your number to be flash again" and I say thank u.
I met some of girls there and chat them while waiting my number to flash again. It felt like the longest wait i had in my life. Finally around 9:20 my number flashed again and went to window 50. While walking i am praying, the consul is a Filipino. she greet me then asked all the documents list beside the window, I prepared my NSO BC, Cenomar, NBI, visa fee receipt, ITR 2013, W2 2013, and I-134 and dropped it in the small hole. She review my documents while asking a question
-what is your name?
-your birthday?
-what will be your address when u come to America?
-do u have any prior marriage?
-who is the petitioner?
-who is your fiance?
-what is his work?
-when visited you?
She focused on my NBI and CENOMAR because i have a correction on my birth certificate. Then she say you are very prepared because u get 2 Cenomar and NBI with AKA ,she asked me why I need to get 2 cenomar. Then i answered " Ma'am it is important because part of the background check to see if i had a previous marriage in my incorrect last name.( by the way my last name is corrected from Cereño to Cereno). Then she asked a photo album. Then she say" I think your document are complete, you can go and take your sit and wait your number to flash again." and i say Thank you.
I was hungry that time. Around 11am my final interview to american consul.I was shocked because he look like spiderman Peter Parker. Then he say "good morning Ma'am" and i replied Good morning to Sir. He said I need to take a oath before the interview, I raised my right hand and read the oath. I am nervous because it is the final stage and i need to make sure i will answer correctly. Then the interview begins.
What is your name?
Age?
Who is Mark? and i answered He is my fiance Sir.. then he smiled
Then he was curious about the ITR and he made me a hard time.He asked me about the places where Mark and his friend goes. My hands are shaking I saw on his face he is not convincing lol.. Then he proceed the interview. "So Ma'am you have a daughter,? he pronounced Sheena hehe..And i said yes Sir, where she is? "sir she is in the hotel." So you will not join her?" Sir i will join her but she is under medication at St lukes. She will finish her medication on august 19. Then he look my medical record and asked when did i take my medical. "Sir last April 22. then he say "So it will be valid until Oct. 22" and i agree with him and said " Sir maybe I will be here again on the interview of my daughter "I thought it was over but then he asked me another question LOL..
What are the places Mark visited here? and i said He is a homebody. But we went to SM Malls, In Manila, farm of my relatives, in the school of my daughter, house of my friend, and introduced him to my relatives and friends. Then we are chatting about me and Mark like were friends hahaha!
Then after a couple of minutes he say " I think you are good to go" while giving me a pamphlet about the Laws and the right of an immigrant to the United States. Then he said the magic word that i am waiting for " WELCOME TO AMERICA" I want to cry by that time..teary eyes and I cant believe I made it! I am very happy because I am done with the stressful visa process! Thank u for the prayers!

We were very prepared for the interview, having supplied ample evidence, but no too much. We discuseed everything. I supplied bank records, ITR, employment letter, paycheck stubs and a second letter of intent to maryy.

Also I think the fact that we chat everyday annd discuss a lot of topics helped us. Iwish everyone good luck, as I know this is just the beginning of the journey

Awww i read your whole story. Teary eyed here! Haha boohoo. I felt your nervousness during the interview and the joy that finally it's over now. I pray that we'll get ours done too, soon. :)

Btw, how come you provided them with your ITR? I thought we only need to provide financial documents of the petitioner.
