PD: June 9 2014, NO2: Sept 15 2014. CC: Oct 22 2014

Approximately how many months more should I call/contact NVC? Should it be 6months before PD will be current? Thanks guys.

You mentioned your case got completed (cc) on oct 22. But you are also saying you have not contacted nvc. So i am confused. Is your case completed at nvc or you mean to say they just recieved your case on oct 22? are you under f2a category?

If you are under f2a and your pd is not current then you need to wait for further instructions from nvc. In the mean time you can call nvc and ask for case number and iin number and also you can give your email id and your attorney's email id( if you have any) to them. So in future nvc will contact you (and your attorney) via email only. It will be quicker than the snail mail route.

Hello everyone, I'm an I-130 filer and a newbie here. My PD is October 8, 2014.

I have a question about processing times in California Service Center.

Now it shows 5 months but I'm wondering was it 3 months before, as most of you in this thread got their conformations for about 3 months. How did you know when they speed up or slow down? Thanks

California service center is faster than other service centers. The approval time ranges anything between 3-4 months for f2a category. There is no definite way to know when the speed up or slow down but you can keep checking the vj timelines for f2a category. But one thing is almost 90% sure that if you are at california service center then it will not take more than 5 months to get approval.

You can check the igor's list here

http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/monthly_filers.php?form=2&visa=4&scenter=1&option=2&sortby=2

Also do not forget to create a vj timeline so that you can have an estimated time of approval, based on the data of other vj members' timeline from similar category.

Ohh.. okay fine.

He did his biometrics on july 1st. Interview on Dec 10th. Which field office did your husband went for interview? Do update me about his infopass response.

Hey SiVin!!

My husband got his oath letter on nov 14 and his oath is on nov 26. He also had his infopass scheduled on nov 14 but he got the oath letter by mail before going for infopass appointment. His interview was on oct 14. So, it is taking about 6 weeks after the interview to take the oath. :dancing:

I haven't called NVC after the NO2 thinking for another month to receive the CC. I received the CC via email from nvc on oct22 with the case number on it but the IIN wasn't there. So I need to call them for it? Thanks.

Yes, I'm F2a too.

Okay. That is definitely not a cc. CC means case complete at NVC. Your case just reached nvc. What they sent you via email is just the intimation letter to you that they got your approved case from USCIS. As long as they have sent that intimation email you will not get any hard copy of that.

Now you have to wait for further instructions from NVC to proceed with the approved case. Good Luck.

I guess you're right since the email explained that nvc received them. I was confused be nvc email title: (my nvc case number)(P3AU ENGLISH FOR NEOPOST DS-1200)(CC)

Should I call NVC for the IIN asap? Or wait for a notification or the real cc?

Thank you Lera66 and ritbiv. And another question- How do they get in contact if there is something wrong with the documents- by email, post or by phone. Just want to know what to expect. Thanks.

USCIS will contact you via mail.

Not upgraded yet. My husband emailed nvc on nov 26. He also mailed them a copy of his naturalization certificate. He called nvc and the representative said it will take 4-6 weeks. :( What about your husband's citizenship process?
