Sounds just like my story!! Great, did you check the case status page to see if it says anything about card production?

Maybe I can ask help on this one. So as my daughter entered via the UK, her case status on the usual USCIS page for her I-130 is no longer valuable as this just took her to the point of getting an immigrant visa. The I-130 MSC Receipt number does not track card production, so the only thing are able to check is ELIS. What other document receipt number should I be using to check other than ELIS for status?

Maybe I'm missing a step?

bah - we not hear back from ISO on tuesday, so I was freaking out, called in to talk with an ISO twice today - first one told me 60 to 90 days from change of address logged from Monday on the 24th, second one told me I could talk to the ISO supervisor on a callback, still no callback. I'm prepping the congressional inquiry packet tonight, hopefully this will get sorted and soon.

I'm really getting discouraged and my wife wants to literally cut me. I'm hating the CSR scripts that they have to run through, none of the apply to a mis-shipped GC.

Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

ELIS issued a receipt # that starts with 'IOE'

back at the CRIS USCIS portal where you tracked the I-130, you can add a case # when you are signed in. Enter the ELIS Receipt # and when things start popping at ELIS, you'll get status in CRIS for such things as:

--card production ordered

--card sent with USPS tracking #

--delivery status

This, but the stuff above will only be in CRIS after ELIS goes to "optimized". Until then it will be something like case not found.

This is why the Internet is a useful place :)

Did as you suggested and saw this!

On June 23, 2014, the production of your new card began. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you.

Let's see if it arrives soon, as that was Monday.

Thanks for the tip!

some update:

pitched the congressional inquiry packet over the wall on 29 june. contacted ILS human on 30 June. She pitched it over to TSC Congressional Liason on 2nd July. I assume GLS got to it on that next Monday, 7 July. No word back from ILS Human, but I have called and asked if any updates from TSC GL human - she tells me nothing, no updates.

However ...

10 July - USCIS CRIS portal updated, stating they logged the address change (that was logged on 24 June firstly). and

11 July - USCIS CRIS portal updated, stating they logged the address change.

I keep using that webform help email thingie into ELIS, asking them to stop issuing service requests, and instead to contact a TSC Human via telephone and initiate a reshipment. The latest ELIS reply on Thursday was that the service request asking for address change on 4 May was logged.

This 'thing' is a comedy of errors. I had hope the ILS Human would pitch it over properly and TSC would initiate reshipment by 14 to 17 July. I also had hoped that the ELIS 'help me' email inquiry would actually start a reshipment. I also had hoped that the 5 ISO calls would have caused TSC to initiate a reshipment. I also had hoped that the 3 service requests would have initiated a reshipment at TSC.

Oh Well. Maybe movement next week - that would be stellar. My wife is from Wuhan, high propensity to cut me using any blade nearby. I am sick of this stuff, thinking I've done all I can save for ombudsman or OIG inquiries. I mean, come on, it's ME--> Darnell - you silly wankers ought to know that when I tell you ELIS is busted (and show why), I would get a response from the responsible party telling me they found the breakage and they be shipping the card the next day.

No Dice.

Wankers.

OK - some update.

Wednesday the ILS human heard back from TSC. They claim was 4 address changes and they were confused about it. Sure, there was 1 address change we did together over the telephone, then 3 emails into ELIS, with that result being (each time) a service request was generated by ELIS and sent over to TSC.

My wife was livid about 4 address changes, not understanding anything about it. Near as I can tell, each time there is an address change, it puts the remailing 'thing' back at day 0, resetting the clock.

The ILS Human mentioned the card would be shipped within 30 days, as of Wednesday.

grrr.

I am happy to report that the greencard arrived today.

I am very pleased for you :) Alas the 30 days for my daughters to arrive elapses on Wednesday July the 23rd, when we will again start calling USCIS! I've also already got the congresswoman's aid chasing her liaison.

To be continued...

We have a completely dysfunctional USCIS system, and beyond that they are dispassionate and completely uncaring and unsympathetic. They should be privatized and held up for the ridicule they deserve.

They are miserable stress inducing morons who serve no useful purpose, and do nothing more than perpetuate misery for those who have complied with all legal and regulatory process. They singularly fail to treat any fee paying client as a customer, and simply seek to be evasive to protect themselves, and their incompetent colleagues.

Their systems and procedures are woeful at best, completely broken at worst. They are completely unable to solve problems, and rely on stupid scripted automatons to deliver service, and I use that work only as a metaphor. They are complete imbeciles, and not worthy to hold the office they are charged with.

I am completely over their endless BS and lies. I simply do not have the vocabulary and superlatives to express the affect they are having on us, and others like us. They simply suck and I have absolutely zero respect for any single one of them!

Last few days have been endless and fruitless phone calls and emails, and still we are as bad off as we were in January this year.

June 23rd - Case status updated to the following status

On June 23, 2014, the production of your new card began. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move while this card is being created, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

This was the 3rd time this status has been notified over the last few months, with no card ever received.

July 25th - Extensive phone calls with USCIS to only be told that "there has been a delay" and if I want to know more "to email TSC". Unable or unwilling to explain WHY this keeps happening.

So the whole farce perpetuates itself. Call USCIS - Email TSC - Email ELIS - Get notified of some status - Failure to deliver - Call USCIS - Rinse and Repeat.

What a bunch of useless cretins.

SOMETHING MUST CHANGE!!!!

angloamerican - one thing that I am learning about this 'call once a month' business -

if a new service request gets logged, all TSC will 'see' is an address change.

For us, the address change 'action' sent the reshipment request back to the end of the queue, each time, and confused the TSC clerks much. In the end, a immigration liason staffer at our Congressman's office got in touch, directly, with a Congressional Liason Staffer at TSC, and the card was reshipped to our 'new' address... about 15 days from TSC receiving the congressional inquiry to green card ship notice, then another 3 days for card to arrive from Mesquite to Houston (both Texas cities).

TSC has no direct 'inputs' from the USCIS call center, Tier 1 or Tier 2. There's a rumour that a Tier 2 Supervisor (a Tier 3 person?) does have some direct inputs into TSC, but we've never gotten one on the phone.

The report back from TSC was 'We got 4 address changes and got confused' - they never, ever saw the reshipment requests, only logging address changes directly. The ILS human told us that each address change put the reshipment 'thing' back at the end of the queue.

I'm just relieved the @#$ing card showed up. It arrived in a priority mail pack with tracking # on it, but no notice of tracking # in the USCIS system.

Now we are getting follow up postal mails from the work done on 10 and 11 July, is very funny to see them, these 'responses to service requests'. It's very sad. Time and Timing is lagged into oblivion with these goons.

If you have not engaged an ILS human at your congressman's office (there are 2 - 2 Senators and 1 Representative) - I suggest , strongly, you engage on Monday, starting with the privacy release form.

To be honest, my wife's immigration journey was fraught with cr@p from USCIS on both ends. I'm tired, and the scars from cutting are healing nicely.
