On May 8th, the NVC informed me that they received my case, but still haven't assigned me an NVC case number. I call once a week, and still the same response..until today. When I gave my receipt # for the customer rep to look up, she tells me that nothing is showing up on their computer. What has happened!? Has anyone been in this situation before? The rep tells me to email NVCresearch@state.gov to find out why, but i'm afraid i'll just get a response that will put me in limbo. I looked up my receipt number at the uscis case status site just to see if it was returned, but it isnt. And to think I was one of the few who got my i-130 petitioned approved in less than 30 days.

I did call again just to make sure the previous customer rep made a mistake, but I still get the same thing. I just don't understand how my case that they have received, not be in their system anymore. It scares me. I would have been fine hearing that I don't have a case number issued yet, but to hear this. Now I have to wait for God knows how long for nvcresearch@state.gov to reply back to me. All my documents and paper works are complete and ready to be paid and mailed, all I need is my nvc case number :(

I'm fighting the same battle.

I got approved on March 19. Called NVC they told me they got in on April 2. After that I called again they told me they don't have it.

Almost 3 months and neither NVC nor USCIS know where my case is. USCIS keeps telling they sent it and NVC claims dont have it....

We have seen this happened and your petition could have been sent to NRC (National Records Center) instead of NVC.

You have to deal with USCIS and talk to tier 2. Involve the Ombudsman and have them get on USCIS case and find your petition.

@Aiko have you emailed nvcresearch@state.gov? If so, what did they tell you? Has the NVC or USCIS given you any advice to what you can do moving forward? waiting three months is something I don't want to have to endure. For my situation, it's just weird and upsetting that my case just disappeared, and NVC acting like they've never received it. I've been calling for 1 month ( twice a week ) and every time they will tell me they have it on the computer, just no case number assigned yet. Now this! I hope all end well for our situation.

Yes and I got response from nvcresearch stating that they dont have my case and will contact uscis about it. That was 2 weeks ago. USCIS tier 2 officers are useless, they don't know anything except to say I have to wait more cuz it can take up to 90 days for nvc to get it (just the same old bs).

But what is even more interesting is that I would call NVC and explain that previously it was reported that my case was received and now they dont have it, operator would take few seconds to check something and come back to me saying that my case is sent back to uscis, but without the clue why it was sent back.

Of course that was more than a month ago but when I call uscis and tell them that, they know nothing about my case being returned back.

So for a almost 3 months I am in a loop where no one knows where my case is.

I contacted my congressman and both senators and they promised they will contact uscis/nvc.

Use the advanced search tool here on VJ about cases not reaching NVC. It has happened many times and there are instructions. make sure you are on a PC not phone.

@Aiko i'm sorry they had to put you through this ordeal. This whole process is stressful enough, adding this can make anyone go insane. I wish the best for your situation, and I hope mine isnt as difficult to solve. Let us all know how it goes.

I hope too, that you don't have to go through all this. Keep me posted what you found out, it may somehow help me as well.

Everything is paid documents sent and yet yesterday they still say they haven't reviewed the packages that I have to wait 30 more days on top of the 3 and a half months we've waited uggghhh so frustrating. Good luck to all.

Hi, we got our NOA2 Approved in april 29, 2014 NVC still hasn't received anything. The lady at NVC has now told me to scan and email a copy of my NOA2 and they will research it. So anyone got any stories about this, what to expect, etc. This is very frustrating, is 4 month. Please let me know if your cases is finish.

justa77, same thing happened to us. i recommend emailing USCIS service center operations head quarters at SCOPSSCATA@uscis.dhs.gov explaining your issue.. Also CC "Neufeld, Donald W" <donald.w.neufeld@uscis.dhs.gov> and OLUInquiries@dhs.gov in your email... send a follow up email every week till your issue is resolved. SCOPSSCATA was very helpful in locating our case.

I assume you already emailed nvcresearch and contacted your representatives... If not, you should also try that..
