you have an NOA-1. in it - is an address ...

make a copy of that NOA-1 - you'll be sending it with:

1. coverletter requesting withdrawal of petition that has ALL of the biodata on it on you and the foreign person - along with the receipt # clearly listed at the top of your coverletter.

then send it usps priority mail - purchase postage online and you get free tracking at usps.com - you want to purchase signature confirmation as well - so keep that in mind.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Hi Meghan! I am so sorry to read about this. :( Take it easy, girl. *Hugs*

Just to add to the advice given above, make sure that the letter requesting for withdrawal of your petition has to be notarized, and do keep a copy for yourself. Wishing you the best, as always!

Get your signature notarized. They want to see that it is you and not some imposter. You are not asking them to withdraw your petition; instead you are informing them that you are withdrawing it, as it is your right to do so.

Get this done before NOA2 so it will not count against you as a prior approval if you want to file again in the future.

Or you could just let it be and it will expire in 4 months after being approved. Your partner cannot use it anyway without you.

Why bother, she probably doesn't up any updates reminding her about her situation. Besides, an adjudicator's time is better spent on a petition that isn't abandoned.

Hello!!

I guess everybody gave you their answers. If you are 100% sure that, that is what you want to do, then you should do as they say so. Write a withdrawal letter to USCIS!But my advice is: you have to be sure that your fiance and you aren't going back together...Think about it... What if you and your fiance(e) reconcile..Will you regret ending it.? Don't make quick decisions without giving it time! Unless of course, there was cheating involved! Some people end things so quickly, then when hey get back together, they have to restart all over again!

Bad choice if you want to do another K-1 with another lady. IMBRA limits tne number of I129(f)s you can file, both in number and how far apart they are spaced. But if you stop the process before the NOA2 is issued, this one will not count against you.

Thank you for all the advice. I definitely will never go through this process again.

Zach & Katiuska, that's very good advice. I won't jump into making a decision that can't be undone. Just needed to know my options & the proper course of action if the situation & decision stays the same, even with time.

Bluntly put, happens :/

Sorry to see that's happened to you, I suppose the good thing is that you realised before the wedding.

Hello Megan & Andrey,

Yes, contact USCIS asap and do what you need to do. Follow your instinct. At the end of the day, it's only you can decide what's best for you.
