Devilette, for someone who has recently been married, and should be glowing with happiness, you sure are an angry person.

Name-calling is a bit immature. If my post annoyed you, then you should have moved on instead of replying.

My post was inteded for those who did want to vent a little about CSC.

Oh give me a break. Judging someone is worse than name calling, IMO.

I did in fact respond to your post, and nicely even, but since it wasn't what you wanted to hear - you pouted until someone came on here & pouted with you.

Nobody here is pouting. And none of us are "in for a surprise". We are aware of the timelines for all aspects of the K1. Nobody is shocked or throwing a fit because CSC hasn't approved them. It's just nice to get together and talk with other people who are waiting.

If we all irritate you then please stop posting here.

That is a bummer, the VSC has about doubled the number of approvals in the same time frame?

My fiance and I are going crazy waiting. But we know we have to! At least I am going to see her in 10 days!!! I can't wait. We will be going to Curitiba, hanging out on the beach...getting out of this cold weather!!!

I est there have been 29 working days from 12/1/2006 to Friday 1/12/2007. There may also be an unusual amount of applications. The thing I sometimes forget is that the Philippines is not the only place fiancees and fiances are coming from. It's WORLD WIDE baby!!!!!!

1/27/2007 Nerissa told me she received a ltr on Friday 26th from USE in Manila telling her they had our petition. I'm sure that's a GREAT thing.

4/16/07 Medical scheduled

4/23/07 Interview 7:30 YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2/21/2007 She tells me in Yahoo msngr and then in an email that she DOES NOT want to come to USA because of her family who will suffer if she is not there

She said YES!!!!! We are back in the med/interview schedule. After a few months I realized I couldn't live without her. I wooed her back and now she is coming to USA after interview.

I really don't think that devilette meant any offense, I think there is just a different mindset between those of us who were around during the IMBRA fiasco, and especially with those of us who went through IMBRA hell, and the more recent filers. My petition took 164 days to be approved, it took 256 days in total before the visa was in my hand and I certainly wouldn't wish that on anyone. devilette's original advice is probably the best you'll get in this process; patience, patience, and more patience. CSC has always been slower, that is unfortunately just the way it is. However, VJ is such a small slice of the immigration pie, it's hard to say what they're doing at CSC. Hopefully you'll all get the good news you want very soon.

I agree that it is ridiculous that there have been so few approvals since the “holiday slowdown” which ended 2 weeks ago!!!

On a happier note, I was away on the weekend without Internet and when I returned this evening (Monday) and of course first thing I did was check the USCIS status online, I was floored by seeing a TOUCH on the 13th! What – that was Saturday! But no approval yet. :( Oh please, let there be no RFE! Hope all of us get the NOA2 soooon!

Hello all,

This is just a little rant I felt the need to get out. I love the holidays as much as the next guy, but they have caused the CSC to grind to a hault. 2 weeks post-holidays and they still haven't appeared to start working.

Just when I start to feel like this week they will start working again, I realize today is MLK day, so I'm guessing they are closed. I feel like they haven't even been in the office since before Christmas.

Boooooo.

I'm not currently working or in school which is probably why this irritates me so much! Hopefully something will come along quickly to take my mind off of it a bit.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for us all!

Thanks!

It has been a while since we have seen a good week from CSC. I've noticed noa2 usually come on Tuesday and Thursdays. You are getting close the estimated time....unless holidays add a few days to your wait time (hoping not but it did for our interview to be scheduled in my case) ...I remember it getting harder to wait the closer I was to the average time of 70-90 days. Hang in there, it will come and this part will fade into a distaqnt memory! (F)

24 March 2009 I-751 received by USCIS

27 March 2009 Check Cashed

30 March 2009 NOA received

8 April 2009 Biometric notice arrived by mail

24 April 2009 Biometrics scheduled

26 April 2009 Touched

...once again waiting

1 September 2009 (just over 5 months) Approved and card production ordered.

Ooh, a touch?? That's exciting in itself!!

I made the mistake of getting all excited when I saw, at the beginning of December, that CSC had started to approve the first handful of early October filers. I wasn't so naive as to think 'cool, we'll have our approval within the month!' but did allow myself to think that by, ooh, about now, they'd at least be getting to approving people who filed at around the same time as us. Y'know - that we'd be at that 'any day could be the day....' stage? But no - a month (more than a month, in fact) later, and they STILL haven't progressed any further than approving people who filed at the beginning of October.

That's not complaining, that's not whining (I know that 'it takes as long as it takes', that we're nowhere near into 'excessively long wait' territory yet, and that others who endured the IMBRA fiasco really did suffer with this)... it's just (understandable, surely) minor frustration at the fact that really, CSC seem not to have done much in the way of petition-approving for about three weeks now. I don't know about anyone else, but so long as I can see a steady trickle of approvals coming through (and holiday or no holiday, CSC really did seem to grind to a virtual halt for a while there, even after the holidays were well and truly over) I feel like we're getting that much closer to our approval every day - I know I'm not going to be seeing an NOA2 for a good while yet, but I like to hear about other people getting theirs! I think when you're waiting and there's nothing you can do to make the time pass faster, knowing that other people are getting approved is one thing that makes it seem you are making progress... I can't even imagine how depressing it must've been during the whole IMBRA thing if not one approval went out in a month or more - 'frustrating' doesn't even begin to cover it...

I agree that it is ridiculous that there have been so few approvals since the "holiday slowdown" which ended 2 weeks ago!!!
