Hello all,

This is just a little rant I felt the need to get out. I love the holidays as much as the next guy, but they have caused the CSC to grind to a hault. 2 weeks post-holidays and they still haven't appeared to start working.

Just when I start to feel like this week they will start working again, I realize today is MLK day, so I'm guessing they are closed. I feel like they haven't even been in the office since before Christmas.

Boooooo.

I'm not currently working or in school which is probably why this irritates me so much! Hopefully something will come along quickly to take my mind off of it a bit.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for us all!

Thanks!

If you look closer, you'll notice I was talking about CSC, and most approvals are coming from Vermont. I'm not saying they aren't there, but when they got to around mid-October NOA1s, they seem to stop.

You are quite wrong. Check the timelines, there have been many approvals in the last few weeks.

I, of course, realize patience is a virtue, and I normally do not post on here, particularly just to rant about something.

However, I know I'm not alone in feeling like CSC slowed down greatly. I just thought it would be nice to vent.

I'm glad some people were approved, and that they appear to be starting up again.

7 at CSC since Xmas, possibly 8 if one has a typo. Not bad, really.

13 at VSC.

Patience is a virtue when dealing with the USCIS. CSC applications ALWAYS take longer, it's the way it is.

I think we were getting 10 to 14 a week pre-holiday (I would need to check Gary's reporting data to be sure). This may be what the OP was sensing.

YMMV

7 from CSC since Xmas??? Thats about 1 for every 2 days they've worked. There has been a definite slow down and it is pretty ridiculous... really.

well, it's NORMAL for businesses to slow down at Xmas, geez peoples. There was Xmas, New Year's Day, Ford's funeral & today. Patience!!! We IMBRA folks had over a month with no approvals.

VJ is only a tiny fraction of all petitions out there, as well.

I haven't seen a slowdown on the part of USCIS processing AOS applications.

It does appear that CSC has slowed down. It sucks that all theses holidays happen at the same time of year. After tomorrow there is no excuse to get back to business and crank out those NOA 2's. Let's keep our fingers crossed that it really happens like that.

Thanks to everyone who is waiting patiently, but also knows what I'm talking about!

Hopefully, we'll all get our NOA2s soon enough!!

Well, at the risk of being one of "those people" who constantly complains in their posts, here goes...

Christmas and New Year's were over 2 weeks ago. I think everybody expected a slow down over those couple of weeks. Ford's funeral and MLK Day were one day during the week which means the number of approvals should perhaps be slightly lower, not ground to a halt. Anyway, enough ranting. I'm still optimistic that most of the Oct. filers (including myself) will see an approval withing the next few weeks.

I'm fully aware ranting is OK, you idiot. icon_bash.gif

I've been thru CSC myself & seeing people whine after the gov't SLOWS DOWN FOR THE HOLIDAYS is annoying. Am I complaining about my AOS not being approved? No, because I am aware what patience is & also, that holidays means slow downs IN ALL AREAS OF LIFE.

God, you are in for a shocker when you wait for your interview to be scheduled!!! Good luck.
