Hey gang, I know this has probably been brought up before, but just to double check, will the folks at the border give us a copy of the medical report so we don't need to do that again when my fiancee goes for AOS? Do we need the whole thing, or just the vaccination supplement? Thanks!

Don't you ask for the second copy from your DR?

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

No, they will not give you a copy of the medical report. For AOS, you'll need just the vaccination supplement as long as you file for AOS within a year of your medical.

The medical gets sent to your district office but you will need a vaccination supplement. Just apply for AOS withing one year of the medical and you shouldn't need another one.

Or you can ask for a copy of the vaccination worksheet after the civil surgeon finishes filling it out during your physical. This helps to prove that you had the medical within a year of filing for AOS. However, this doesn't guarantee you won't get an RFE, and you may have to get a supplement completed anyways.

My fiancee didn't get a copy of the vaccination supplement. Would we able to get it copied at the border?

more than likely no, but I guess you can ask while you are there.

I agree that it's not likely at all, so you might want to get your fiancée to ask the place where she'd had her physical for a copy of the vaccination worksheet.
