People I am sure quite able to become comfortable with just about anything. Lots of people in prison who have grown accustomed to prison life, and the prospect of freedom probably scares them. Instead of wondering how to dissuade people from continuing to live on the streets, how about thinking of ways to improve life expectations for the ones who might be thinking of dropping out.

There are a lot of people outside of the druggies etc who find themselves in such situations, what to do is another issue.

This is truth. Here's the issue with your statement. The reason folks on the right are afflicted with those titles, is because they use language that's specifically tailored to that person/thing's unique quality. Folks say you can't criticize Obama without being called racist. Look at their comments. Tar Baby. Boy. The N word. I wonder why you're being called racist. Same thing goes with gay people. The same folks saying I don't have an issue with gays are the same folks using the F word or talking about their sexual practices instead of the issues at hand. Especially when you throw the bible in there to back up your claims of why you hate gay people.

And to be fair, Gegel's comment doesn't speak for all the folks on the left. Not saying he isn't right, but you're too quick to make it a political thing when it's really just one person's opinion.

Marvin, you have a knack for always pointing out the worst examples of everything, but they are certainly NOT typical by any means. I have never heard anyone I know use those terms. And as I have mentioned many times, there are extremists on both sides.

Nope. I've said plenty of times that there's racism on both sides of the aisle. My point was that when folks are labeled, they're using language that justifies why they're being called those things.

I can't figure out why some people don't see this. There are tons of stories where somebody uses racial slurs or homophobic language and then swear they're not racist/homophobic. They act all shocked when someone calls them racist because you call a black woman a dirty ape or when you call a gay person the f word.

Because it was a joke Marvin! Don't you know that it's fun, and not racist at all, to be racist, and then say "Just kidding!" Anyone who realizes what is going on is a communist! Plus, you can't be racist if you are married to an Asian woman. VJ taught me that too.
